Loved our stay here. Very clean & great staff. Loved that it was central for walking to Gastown and downtown to Grandville. Perfect little hotel to stay for a great price. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.
The renovations look absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are super clean and well designed. I booked the King room for one night and found the place so easily accessible. Since covid though, it looked like I was the only one there but will definitely stay again next time I'm in Vancouver for business. Highly recommend, the staff were very helpful and actually had a good sense of humour which was a breath of fresh air.
My friend and I stayed at the Victorian hotel, this past December, for one night before heading to Whistler. Upin arrival we were greeted by the friendliest staff member, Ryan, who instantly made us feel welcome and right at home. Whenever we had a question or needed something, Ryan was there for us and was so helpful. We will certainly stay there again and hope to find Ryan there!
My mum and I stayed at the Victorian Hotel for a weekend. Our room was spacious and clean, with a private bathroom. I had mentioned when booking the room that it was my mum's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond - we were met with a card in the room, and every member of staff we encountered wished her a happy birthday, which was really lovely. The location is really central, but we were a little surprised at the neighbourhood. There is a large Salvation Army right across the road, and there are quite a few homeless people loitering up and down the street. While we didn't have any trouble with them, it was a little unsettling, and not something we had experienced in Vancouver before. Nevertheless, the hotel was great for our weekend away, and we were really happy with our stay!…
The staff seem more preoccupied with Covid then anything else. No service, no greetings. I met an attendant named Rachel, she was insufferable. No amenities, constant renovation sounds while open, extra toiletries come in a garbage bag for your waste basket. No elevators, not for handicapped and certainly no food. Showers are cold and there is no HEAT. Might work if the boilermaker is turned on! I don't know how they can even charge more than $100/night. You don't even get a bath tub so make sure you ask for one...the list goes on.
