Loved the tree lined neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Close to the hop on/hop off bus and water taxi to Granville Island. Walking distance to Stanley Oark and the beach. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Had a homey feeling. Suites were updated and relaxing.

My wife and I travel quite a bit and can say with all honesty that this was probably one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The staff was extremely friendly and the room was all you could ask for. For the value, this was an A+.

We were extremely pleased with the location, service and value at the Sunset Inn. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with a nice balcony. Situated in a lovely residential neighborhood, but easy walking distance to great restaurants and shops, as well as the ferry to Granville Isand. Good internet access. The breakfasts and parking worked well. The staff was...

Stayed for three nights, rooms are clean and well appointed but overall the hotel looks a little tired however the staff are welcoming and helpful. It's a 30min walk to the waterfront but it lets you see the city or you can use the excellent Vancouver bus service. Help yourself breakfast is great.

We booked this hotel based entirely on reviews from fellow trip advisors and I have to thank them for referring us here. Located in the city, it was centrally located to everything. The suite we had was tremendous. Separate bedroom with a large closet, TV ,comfy bed. Living room had 2 couches closets, TV, balcony with chairs, and a kitchen...

While this inn is not in the downtown core, it is convenient for a dash to the airport and is on a lovely quiet street within a block of a major strip of fine restaurants. It is on a ridge, so the views are lovely, as are the rooms. The staff is great, very helpful and efficient. Highly recommended.

A great place to stay at while visiting Vancouver. Staff will bend over backwards to help you and recommended the BEST Mexican food to us during our stay. I really cannot compliment the staff enough. Rooms were nice, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was ok..I'm a health nut and I would have liked some granola....

Great location with easy access to many points of interest as well as shopping, cafes and restaurants. Welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and quiet. We were on the sixth floor with a balcony and a nice view out over the tree lined street, over and between other buildings to the water beyond. Beds are very comfortable and sleep quality...

The location was great and staff were very friendly. The room was clean and tidy. The decor was a bit dated and we had an ancient oven but everything worked and overall it was fine. I would stay here again.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
