My husband and I stayed in Vancouver for a "just us" vacation in November 2016. I was so impressed with this cute little hotel! Not only was the price great but the hotel was super clean, the front desk staff was amazing and the bed was soooo comfy! It's right around the corner from tons of restaurants and just a...

My husband was having a rough day and I wanted to have a nice one night get away for him. I so happened to come across this hotel on a website, booked it cause it was within my price range and I was beyond happy I did. Nicest room we've ever been in. we felt cozy and welcome. We can't...

This modest, older apt-cum-hotel met all of our needs for location, comfort, parking, and amenities. Close to restaurants, buses, downtown. All suites have a full (if tiny) kitchen where we made meals and saved time and money. Our exec. suite had a lovely view, as well. Heated by mini-splits and baseboards. Bonus: we could open the window for fresh air!

This is our second visit to this hotel and we have recommended it to friends who have also loved it. We stayed with two adults and a teenage daughter . The reasons : friendly and accommodating staff, most comfy beds, location, kitchen, separate bedroom, layout, views, breakfast included and of course the biscuits and jellybeans! Would not stay anywhere else

We were pleased with the size of the suite and also the cleanliness. The continental breakfast was a nice touch. The staff was very professional and most helpful. We liked the location as it within walking distance of restaurants and cafes. We would stay here again in the future.

Sunset Inn and Suites was close to the waterfront and Davie Street, which had many options for dinner and breakfast. Our room was spacious and it was nice to have our own kitchen. Will definitely stay here again!

At the end of a skiing holiday we had 3 nights at Sunset Inn. Location is great - loads of cafes, restaurants and good coffee 1 street away. Walk a few streets to the ferries too, and easy to get to Granville Island etc. We had 2 children who slept on pull out lounges and loved it. Our bed very...

we stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Canada. We had a studio room that had everything we needed - fridge, full size stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, king size bed, tv, dining table and chairs and a writing desk and chair. The room was wonderful and warm and we could adjust the temperature easily...

Decided to stay over night for New Years Eve 2016. Managed to get a last minute booking at Sunset Inn and Suites. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and room provided. Staff was courteous, and the room was clean and well maintained. Location is amazing, in a quiet, but central location of Davies street. Plenty of...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
