My stay at The Metropolitan Hotel made my first visit to Vancouver that much more excellent. The hotel is immaculately clean, respectfully quiet, and with outstanding staff. The front desk, doormen, engineer, and housekeeping staff were super kind, helpful and patient. I highly recommend and will stay here next time I visit lovely Vancouver.

I had the pleasure of staying in The Met on a business trip. Everything about the hotel is good. Nicest location, which makes a lot of things accessible by walk. Great restaurants nearby. Rooms are aging, but still clean. Wish, it had some nicer views, but being the smallest building amongst the tall surrounding buildings no luck here. Breakfast is...

We visited the Metropolitan Hotel as a business and had a great experience. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite at no additional cost and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a memorable experience and we will be back!

We had a nice post cruise stay here, and it was only a few blocks from Canada place. We were even surprised we got rooms really early in the morning after departing the ship. We dropped off our luggage took a little bit of time and then toured the city. We setup getting a van for our trip to the...

Once in a while you get surprised by a selection. Our stay was one of those times. The location was ideal, about a 10 minute walk from the cruise terminal, directly across from the Four Seasons, and a block and a half away from the Pacific Centre Mall and the station for the underground trains. The staff was welcoming and...

Stayed for 3 nights en route to Whistler. Large, conformable room, with a very comfy bed. The hotel is perfectly located for a short break in Vancouver, almost everything is in walking distance. tourist attractions, shopping, bars and restaurants. My only crtisism was the 'mood" lighting in the room. For this read "dark" to the point of gloominess. Why oh...

Very professional staff at every level. Interesting meeting space for small group. Great location. Beautiful junior suite. Diva is a great restaurant but limited menu. Group menu is extremely expensive, too expensive. Thank you to all the team of this wonderful hotel!!!!

Thank you for your comments. The Junior Suite is also a personal favourite of mine, done in a tasteful modern style. We hope you are back again soon to enjoy it again!

I stayed here for two nights at the end of a longer vacation in Vancouver. I got this for a bargain. It's a very smart place, right opposite the main mall (Pacific Centre). There aren't too many restaurants in the immediate couple of blocks, which is one of the few drawbacks here (more so given the price of the in...

We stayed a night at the Met before the 2014 Vancouver Sun Run. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was smallish, but clean and comfortable. Bed was a tad firm for my liking, but not like sleeping in a board! We couldn't ask for more!!! We'll definitely be back!

Stayed at the hotel for one night for business. The staff were very helpful. The bellman David was extra nice. He explained were everything was and opened by balcony door for me (I had travel brain). The location is great....2 blocks from Robson, the Sky Train to the airport is just a 1-2 min walk, the water is a 5ish...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
