As a conference venue, it is not bad. The meeting rooms are good, and food was good. However, the rooms are just ok, not as equipped as I though a hyatt would be. It is of a decent size as well. Location of the hotel is good, right smack in town next to the Burrad station and most Whistler bus...

This was now my third stay at this property -- twice I have gotten it through Priceline "Name Your Own Price" with very good deals. The hotel remains solid -- great staff, good rooms and excellent downtown location, right next to the Burrard Skytrain station. My only complaint? They've changed their showers to 'rainfall' showers -- which might work for...

Staff is really really rude and unprofessional. My friend booked the room and he also added my name into the reservation. As his flight was delay, I checked in the room first. I was told I was not able to have any benefit ! After my friend arrived , he didn't checked in, and next day , we were locked...

Dear 110leiw, I apologize that you felt the team at the hotel was unprofessional. I understand that you had a chance to speak with our Management team while you were here, who explained that Loyalty Benefits are only eligible if the Loyalty Member is staying, and unfortunately when your friend did not check in for the reservation we were not...

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is located right in city center. Staff was nice and service was good. The hotel is well suited for business stay. Not so optimal with kids as it felt there aren't too many activities for small kids. The room was in good shape and had nice city views.

We stayed here to have a "staycation" night downtown to celebrate Valentine's Day. Rooms: Fairly clean but lots of dust on phones, behind nightstands, etc. Bed was super comfortable. Great view from room. Bathtub was very shallow.. Definitely seemed as if these rooms are geared towards the business traveller and not so much for couples wanting a romantic night in....

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
