virtually everyone who visits Vancouver agrees that it's a wonderful city. Clean, filled with interesting neighborhoods and set in beautiful surroundings, it's a "Whats not to like?' kind of place. Unfortunately, it's also expensive. The Moda offers a good value and a super location near the harbor as other reviewers have noted. What struck me,however, was the staff. Attentive and...

I stayed at the Moda hotel for four nights. The first room I was assigned to had an offensive smell that I thought was carpet spray as all the windows in the room were open to air it out. I spoke with the maid outside my room and she told me that the previous guest had used a lot of...

The Moda Hotel provides a small, clean cozy room at a great price! Its a cute hotel, within walking distance of everything. You can park your car for $14 a day and never touch it again. The rooms are small, basic bathroom - all you really need for a stay in Vancouver without breaking the bank. There is a next...

Vancouver hotels seem to be getting more and more expensive especially so in the summer so I was excited to find this place which is above Cibo (a nice little Italian restaurant) The price was reasonable and the location is great. I had a meeting downtown and was able to walk to it. Check in was a little slow (my...

We got a reservation at Moda through Hotwire, so you can't beat the price we paid for the location we were in. We didn't want to pay $300/night to stay in downtown Vancouver, so Moda was a perfect solution. The rooms were tiny, but expected based on photos. Appreciated the in room safe and small closet to hang clothing, although...

This hotel is in a great location, I walked pretty much everywhere. The rooms are small but nicely appointed and the staff were really accommodating. There is a restaurant next door that has excellent food and the breakfast in the lobby was good. I was here for a convention and it was convenient for getting around town.

This boutique hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to everything! The staff was very helpful. The room was bigger than I expected based on other reviews and it had all the amenities you could need at a hotel. I would definitely go back to the Moda.

As the other reviewers have noted, you can't beat the location of this place as it is walking distance to everything, including the Granville Skytrain station. Our room was tiny, but comfortable enough although we never could quite figure out how to operate the AC/thermostat. We turned it off in the middle of the night because we didn't need it...

We booked this hotel based on some of the pictures we'd seen of the rooms. We ended up being in the tiniest hotel room I have ever seen, with a tiny double bed. I'm not sure how this happened, as the room next door to ours seemed to be huge! We also found the reception staff to be difficult to...

Stayed here for five days because we found a great hotel+flight deal, this place was better than expected. The location is in walking distance to everything!!! There's a starbucks on one end, a Tim Hortons on the other, city centre is a few blocks up, and you can catch buses and cabs nearby. As for the room itself, it's a...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
