I needed a place to stay for a conference in downtown Vancouver and found a great deal online. It's an older hotel, but it's had renovations, and although the rooms aren't big or fancy, if you're looking for a clean room at a great price I don't think you'll find a better deal. There's both a sports bar, as well...

Can't get much better than the $84 rate (+tax) we got for a room right downtown Vancouver with a king bed. Housekeeping wasn't stellar: dust on hand towel racks, which is odd considering it's a highly visible spot, but no hand towels, plus the usual no vacuuming by the bedside nighttables. One of the nighttables was crooked, which would've taken...

My boss had booked a deal with this hotel along with flight and upon looking at the website, he thought it would be a great comfortable stay for me to be refreshed for work the next day. We were terrible mislead. The downstairs lunch and dinner restaurants were above average and gave the impression that the hotel would be of...

This hotel is in a great location with a fantastic wine bar and restaurant right downstairs. The staff members I encountered were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with lots of daylight. I would definitely stay here again!

I give the Moda credit for trying hard. They've worked hard to give it an updated modern look. The folks at the front desk are very helpful. Each room has it's own hvac with modern thermostat. There are multiple restaurants associated with the hotel on the property. It dead smack in the middle of town and only minutes from the...

We were spending NYE going to see one of our favorite bands at the Commodore. The venue is barely a block and half away. Perfect location. Grocery store 1 block away, lots of quick food, liqueur store, coffee. I would stay here again.

I choose the Moda Hotel as it is only a few steps away from the Orpheum Theatre which houses the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and it is right smack in the middle of downtown Vancouver with easy access to shopping, entertainment and restaurants as well as bus- and subway routes. It probably is an old hotel yet for the price I...

We stayed her because we were going to a show at the Orpheum...It's right across the street and therefor the best for that. If you are visiting Vancouver, this is a fabulous location for visiting downtown, yaletown, gas town, crosstown and the west end. Walking distance to all. Cons: pillows are atrocious, sheets are stiff, cheap toilet paper. So....it has...

I found a good deal through bing.com/travel, ended up booking through Expedia. I knew I would pay around 20 a night for parking, so wasn't surprised by that additional cost. However, I did not expect to be charged an additional 20 for our third guest. This made it not much of a deal in comparison to other hotels in the...

Perfect location, very central to experience the delights of Vancouver. The hotel actually upgraded us to a suite which was huge. It was directly above the sports bar below but didn't cause any interruption of sleep. Nice staff but the breakfast waitress was so interested in talking to us that we almost didn't get our breakfast in time to leave...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
