Easy location to access From ferry vial trans link services, great place to have a conference because of the rooms, both hotel and meeting rooms that give a more relaxed environment to engage with participants.

Dated property with excellent, professional staff throughout. Rooms are large & airy with great balconies & view of English Bay. Decor and facilities are very dated but very clean. Ours had an old but very handy kitchenette. Upper floors have had furniture updated withing the past 10- 12 years.

The hotel was fine. I had a very bad fall in the bathroom as there was no safety bar or other device in the bathroom. the rubber mat in the tub slipped under my foot. The hotel staff was most solicitous.

Attended a conference at the hotel and because it was pet friendly I brought my dog and kitten. Surprised that my room was almost a suite, with full kitchen and sitting area, large bathroom and small outside balcony.

This hotel offers a great location next to English Bay and the sea wall, great restaurants close by, good transit access and a big pool. The staff were genuine in their service and helpfulness. We were offered an upgrade in our room and free parking upon arrival. The hotel itself however is in need of some modernization in terms of... More

Pleasant friendly service. I would stay here again when and if I come back., Very prompt and excellent. I do not normally get room service. But I needed to this time and the dinner was delicious. The lady who brought it was amazingly friendly.

I had a lovely stay in this converted apartment hotel in a beautiful residential area just a couple of blocks from stunning English Bay! The room was comfortable and well kept. I had a spacious suite with a kitchen which was a bit dated but actually quite comfortable and well kept. The view was gorgeous with English Bay in the... More

This hotel is closing and the quality of the rooms is going downhill. I have stayed there every year for 5 years and will not return because of this. Having said that the staff service still remains as top notch.

When I got to my room I almost turned around to book out because I was so shocked. I am not one to complain or ever write reviews on things but I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing experience and for the money that they charge there I was so disappointed.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
