Nice Hotel. Room are a little out dated, but the staff was excellence. Very helpful and courteous Hotel very close to cruise dock location. 10 blocks max Took taxi to hotel. City Tour trolley picks up across the street from hotel, very convenient. I would stay there again.

We've stayed here before and the location is awesome. We walked to our favorite restaurants, had a super-comfy bed, and we were really lucky to have a fast (and early) check-in. We heard sirens one of the nights, but for a downtown location, you can't expect anything different.

I stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel downtown Vancouver unsure of the exact location to places I had to be during my trip. The hotel was a very short walk from the train stop from the airport and I was close to any amenity that I could have possibly needed. My room was fantastic. I had a great view in...

Our stay there was absolutely divine, the whole experience was amazin from the check in process, the room, the attention and the easy check out. The hotel is lovely and has a great location, I would go back 1,000 times. My only wish would be free wi-fi :)

This is a well placed hotel, modern but in classical hotel style. It is close to the main shopping and restaurant streets in Vancouver. Rooms are spacious and have a large window although the windows could do with a wash. We had a single king size bed with a couple of lounge chairs and desk and chair. Breakfast is either...

Solid hotel. Perfect location. 1 block from Robson - close to everything. Comfortable room and good amenities. The location is the best feature. We walked everywhere. The rail and subway at city centre is only a couple of blocks away.

We have stayed here several times in the last few years but this was our best experience. Check in time was 3pm and we arrived at 1:30 knowing this but wanting to leave our luggage. The desk clerk kindly advised that our room was ready and that we were welcome to check in! Later someone checked to see if the...

Travelling with my 2 teens, I booked this room through Hotwire. We arrived at night tired. We are given a room with 1 king bed for 3 bodies. The fellow at the desk saw that I was not happy with this arrangement, blamed Hotwire, but did not offer to fix the problem other than offering a cot. No upgrade here....

We recently returned from a 5 night stay. We stayed in a beautiful queen room which we were upgraded to as it was our wedding anniversary. Guest services kindly left some chocolate coated strawberries for us on arrival which were delicious. Shower in the room was so powerful and refreshing. The room was nice and clean with all the facilities...

this hotel is right downtown - a 5 min walk to the harbour and Canada Place. The room was clean though tired - a refresh is needed to make this a 5 star hotel. The pool and hot tub are in the resident wing and the hot tub was barely adequate - we loved the location - close to restaurants,...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
