Stayed at the Sutton years ago when first relocating to Vancouver and remembered it fondly. My hubby and I decided to have a little get away over the August long weekend. When we arrived, the hotel was fully booked (a wedding, I think),so imagine our surprise when we had been upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious, spotless, and...

This hotel was fantastically located in the heart of the city of Vancouver. Easy walk down to the Harbour area and for all things down town. It was a longer walk out to Stanley Park and most people might want to get a bus. Make sure that you get WIFI included in your rate -- they wanted about £11.00 to...

This is by far one of the best hotels we have used on our travels. The accommodation was excellent and the beautiful armchairs were just what was needed after a busy day sightseeing. The bed was spacious and extremely comfortable. Our room had an excellent view, was very clean and air conditioning was quick to both cool and heat room...

Our stay was absolutely FABULOUS at the Sutton Place in Vancouver. We were treated very well at check in & the room was LOVELY. It felt like home away from home. The beds...

First time at Sutton Place and was pleasantly surprised. Location is perfect for shopping and visiting Rogers Arena or BC Place Stadium. The Sutton has a friendly helpful staff and the hotel is super clean. This hotel is very quiet and has the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to...

My wife, daughter and I stayed in a couple of rooms in the Sutton Place in August. The rooms were clean and well decorated with comfortable furnishings and the usual big tvs. We didn't eat at the hotel but the check-in staff were helpful enough. The concierge who we asked for advice on local restaurants was very helpful and friendly....

We stayed one night at Sutton Place in Vancouver, BC before embarking on a cruise. We had reserved a room with a king bed. When we arrived all their king rooms had been taken so we were upgraded to a king suite. The suite was very nice. It was large and had a completely outfitted kitchenette including oven, microwave, sink,...

I got this hotel for $144 on Hotwire. I was a bit wary because it had some negative reviews, but I had an excellent experience here. First, I was able to check in early (11am instead of 3pm). Next, I was upgraded to the residential tower and ended up getting a 1 bedroom suite on the 16th floor, complete with...

This is really close to the restaurants that begin just one block away from the hotel and everything I visited in the city is within walking distance. Concierge is really nice--they know how to give good recommendations. Will definitely go back there again next time I'm in Vancouver.

Friendly helpful staff, very comfortable rooms and close to everything. The restaurant provides excellent food, even when ordered to the room! Great hotel to stay at whether traveling on business or for pleasure. I have arrived here in the past to find that my room was booked for the wrong night. They politely found me a room just the same...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
