We booked this hotel to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary based on other recommendations. Glad we did as excellent value for money! Great location a few steps off Robson Street, easy to get to most places from this location. Staff are efficient, friendly and very helpful without being intrusive. We booked a signature suite as we have some slightly 'odd'...

My husband and I arrived from New Zealand to Vancouver and checked into a hostel that same afternoon. Unfortunately the hostel wasn't what we were expecting, and we frantically started trying to find an alternative place to stay for that night and the next. We saw online that L'Hermitage had an available room, and so went and visited them in...

I have stayed at many top brand hotels, but none of them was ever as lovely and distinctively pleasant as L'Hermitage! This magnificent treasure of Vancouver, BC needs not acquire a brand-it is in a class of its own. My flight was delayed and a piece of my luggage left back in Chicago. The exceptional welcome, sophisticated warmth and the...

Overall super hotel stay. Friendly and helpful front desk. Very comfortable, clean and spacious room. Very comfortable bed and good shower ( two things that help make a stay better!). Location was also super. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel itself is terrific. It is about a 3 block walk from the Canada Line subway that you can take from the airport to downtown. It is a 5 - 9 dollar ride and takes about 30 minutes. This is faster than taking a cab or town car from the airport for sure. The hotel is about a 10...

Everything was awesome. The customer service was perfect. The staff were gracious and kind. The location was great. They went above what was necessary, including showing us many different rooms to make sure we got the one that was perfect for a couples getaway.

This hotel is central to all the museums , shopping and easy assess to day trips. We walked everywhere. The service here was quite frankly the the best! The concierge Raymond was amazing at getting us in for reservations at fine dining establishments. We will certainly come back. Clean, safe, friendly and to top it off they gave us a...

We spent our honeymoon at L'Hermitage and it was the most lovely hotel in every way. Faultless service, beautifully appointed room and bathroom and a great location in downtown Vancouver. We loved the little extras that make a stay feel more personal: the delicious chocolates at turndown, the complimentary bottle of wine with a note wishing us a happy honeymoon...

From the moment we arrived, the staff were all extremely helpful in every way. Our boutique room happened to be on a corner and we loved the extra windows and the lookout into the city (others might have found it a bit loud, but it's the city and that noise is to be expected). The rooms were super comfortable with...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
