Searching on the internet for somewhere that was dog friendly for us to stay in while hiking in Ruckle Park over on Saltspring Island, my husband and I (and our Husky Biffa) came across Hummingbird Hill. The Japanese Tea House sounded unique so we thought we'd give it a try. OMG, it was amazing! So peaceful, so romantic, so tranquil....

I am so lucky to have been treated (by my sweet husband) to a stay at Hummingbird Hill! The trip was a surprise- and it was a wonderful one! The relaxed and peaceful atmosphere at this oasis is created by the immaculate rooms; soft, comfortable beds; fluffy robes; and breathtaking starry nights in the private hot tub. This spot was an amazing find, so quiet and peaceful here! There is not much signage to help you locate this little gem but once you locate it you are literally in paradise, the view from the hot tub (with hummingbirds flitting about all around you) is towards Mayne and Prevost Islands, watch the BC Ferries boats cruising by in...

It has its own wisteria covered deck, and secret garden with hot tub for star gazing or marveling at the busy hummingbirds (bathrobes and towels provided). Stunning valley, ocean and mountain views, private entry, 4 piece bathroom, dining/sitting room with electric fireplace, outdoor dining, BBQ and fully equipped kitchenette stocked with abundant breakfast fixings for your first 2 mornings Enjoy how, when and where you'd like- indoors or out High Season ( May through September ) and all holiday weekends Low Season (November thru March) The JAPANESE TEA HOUSE A Unique Eco-Experience of our A tranquil Japanese inspired sleep cabin, for nature lovers seeking privacy and solitude, or any kind of lovers seeking a romantic getaway. Awaken to dappled sunlight. Slip on a Kimono and enjoy coffee and/or tea, delivered to your gate each morning, and enjoy the forever ocean and mountain views.
