Our Manor West room provided a beautiful view of the Ganges Harbor and its seaplane and boating activity, as did the seating in the dining room. We had delicious Herb Encrusted Pacific Halibut, Parmesan Polenta, Soya Emulsion as well as Filet of Alberta Beef, Gruyere Potatoes, Portwine Reduction (oh, the Gruyere potatoes!), and followed that with Orange Almond Ricotta Cheese...

We spent 2 nights with friends. The rooms are a good size with comfy furnishings. The gardens and setting are right on the water and truly beautiful. A cosy pub is a 2 minute walk (Moby's) and the small town is less than a 5 min drive (you can walk - but part is on the verge of the road...

Thank you for your review. We regard every comment as important and look forward improving each and every time we can. Recently we introduced handmade honey candies to commemorate the introduction of our new bee hives that will soon begin supplying honey to our restaurant and have already made an incredible difference in the production of our gardens. We are...

Beautiful grounds, attentive and helpful staff, large rooms, felt very exclusive and quaint. The fireplace in our room was amazing and the wood was so nice and dry it was easy to keep it going. My husband definitely enjoyed that part! Fantastic english breakfast included in our stay. The price was a bit rough, if it was a little more...

Thank You for your kind review. We think one of the great English Country Estate experiences is sitting in front of a roaring fire in a hand laid stone fireplace curled up with a good book and a hot tea. Especially on a cool evening listening to the wind blow the fall leaves about the property. You should come back...

Beautiful, tranquil setting with gardens to make an Englishman proud. Excellent service from everyone--vigilant but unobtrusive. Restaurant is one of the finest in the northern hemisphere. Can't imagine a nicer place to unwind and re-generate. We followed this with one night at the Empress in Victoria (terrible), and found the Empress more expensive than Hastings House.

Thank you for your excellent review. We very much enjoyed giving you an excellent experience her at Hastings House Country house Hotel. Our crab catch package is a really fun way to sample island life and we are glad you enjoyed it. We wish you would have taken part in the crab preparation demo but we understand you had other...

This is an unbelievably pretty, quaint and service oriented place. The gardens, waterview and buildings were beautiful. The accomodations are very expensive, roomy and clean. But for the price they charge they should be updated. We had dinner there and it was excellent. We will go again, but we will stay just one night and have dinner there or stay...

This is one of the most tranquil and beautiful properties my husband and I have stayed at. There is so much beauty in the gardenes and the view of the harbor. We took so many pictures. We did the crab package, where you go out on a boat and catch crabs and the chef prepares them for you that night...

From the moment you step onto this property, enchantment reigns. The gardens are spectacular - from the manicured lawns, to the flowering beds and the vegetable garden that produces the local herbs and vegetables that are served in the dining room. The restaurant is equally impressive. From the moment you enter, the excellent service and friendliness are evident. Start with...

We stayed here 3 nights and it was an amazing experience. We stayed in the Post Cottage and I would highly recommend it; very private, cozy and comfortable. Make no mistake, the price is up there, but well worth it for a special occasion. The staff is excellent and helpful at every turn. There is a wonderful collection of sculpture...

I use the WellSpring Spa at the Hastings House on Salt Spring Island where spa technician Terra Dimock gives the best facials I have ever had. They use high end quality products that revitalizes my skin and makes it noticeably more moisturized and firm. I feel relaxed and at peace when I visit the beautiful property. This lovely small hotel infuses its guests with an old world genteel feeling. The grounds and surrounding hiking paths are wonderfully beautiful. We stayed in the Post Cottage and would highly recommend it -might seem pricey but it was worth it. We were in a world by ourselves with indescribable scenery. It was fabulous.
