First the possitives. The grounds and location are beautiful. Easy access to vineyards and activities. Coleen and Jake are lovely. Breakfast, superb. However. Our room while spotless left much to be desired. It was cold not warm and inviting as one might expect in a B & B and the fireplace did not work. It was certainly not soundproof. We...

We take great pride in our guesthouse and appreciate good, well thought out reviews.Thankfully, most all of our reviews are.We are glad this guest appreciated the clean,(that is how we do that) crisp sheets over a pillow top matress on our kingsize beds.We also looked for their ficticious sqrirrel. No sign of the sqrirrel or his nuts.We look forward to making...

Five reasons to give Serenata Guesthouse five stars. 1. The guesthouse is situated on 10 acres, with expansive green lawns to the front, dotted with massive weeping willows, gardens to the back with numerous seating areas, a small plum and hazelnut orchard and a vineyard, all with flocks of quail running through and around the greenery. 2. The house is...

We stayed here for 5 nights after hiking in the Canadian Rockies. We're from Massachusetts and were looking for a comfortable place to stay after a very active week and to serve as a base camp for some wine tasting. Serenata turned out to be the perfect choice! Jake and Colleen, the owners, were warm, friendly and incredibly accommodating. Our...

Stayed for 3 nights (from Calgary), late August. Perfect distance from downtown Penticton (5 min drive) without being hard to find or too recluse. Oasis of calm and peaceful serenity in an absolutely beautiful garden home. All breakfasts were superb and lovingly prepared. Walk through the vineyards or the manicured gardens surrounding the property, or just sit on the deck...

We booked this as a retreat after our wedding. It took them several weeks to get back to us when we asked a question upon booking, so not a good start there. When we arrived, we couldn't get in the gate and no one answered the call button for several minutes. When it finally opened, it turned out the owners...

We sincerely take our business and customers very seriously. After many years of nearly perfect performance and wonderful reviews, we do accept that things do happen and as always take complete responsibility for everything, even if this particular party does not.Reviews are twofold, both informative and a forum to perhaps deflect personal responsibility.Perhaps missing the specially prearranged early checkin, losing the...

The inn is very well located. It is close to town, the lake, the Kettle Valley Trail, and wineries on the Naramata Bench. The grounds are beautiful and very quiet. The suites are well appointed and comfortable. I wouldn't recommend Room #3, the Deluxe Gardenview, during the hottest weeks of the summer;it is the smallest and was difficult to cool...

We stayed for four nights in August. Jake & Colleen were lovely hosts - providing us with a wealth of information on the local area. The breakfasts were outstanding, and provided us with an opportunity to share our holiday (or should I say 'vacation'!) experiences with other guests. The rooms, grounds and general environment were 5*. The area around Penticton,...

We travelled as a couple and stayed for four nights at Serenata during our visit to the Okanagan. From the moment we pulled up to the gate, we knew we were in for something special. The sweeping drive, the immaculately manicured front lawn, the landscaping and the house itself were all stunning! We stayed in the luxury valleyview room, and...

We stayed at Serenata for three nights and it was wonderful. I wish only we could have stayed longer. Our hosts, Colleen and Jake, have established a beautiful place to stay and relax. The breakfasts were delicious, and are served at the civilized hour of 9:30. This gave me time to get up and walk on the nearby Trans Canada...
