Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We rented cabin 4 for 3 days in July 2020. The cabin itself was very quaint and lovely with a wood stove, small bar fridge and a toilet. There is a loft that houses a queen sized bed and two bedrooms on the first floor beside eachother that also have queen beds. Bring your own drinking water as it is not potable and needs to be boiled first. The lodge itself is situated right on the water and has a co-ed shower room at the back. It takes loonies and has pleasant hot water and sufficient water pressure. Our cabin was steps from the water and in a very good location. The owners have a couple of cats "jagger" and ? and they are great hunters! If you are squeamish about seeing mice and cats in their natural habitat or have small children then I would not recommend it. We witnessed about 5 mice deaths. The first night; about 25 minutes after going to bed we heard a mouse chewing into our cracker bag. We ensured that all the food was in the cooler and luggage to detur any critters. The next two nights we were accompanied by mice again. These are rustic cabins and this is to be expected but it was a little unsettling. The lake itself is cold. We swam but were shaking like leaves afterwards and it was quite windy. There were hundreds of tadpoles which was pretty cool. Do not let your kids play in the sandbox area as we witnessed the cat using it as a litter box. We we're really hoping to swim and float during this time and this lake just doesn't deliver. If you're looking for a rustic camp feel and swimming is not a huge priority then I recommend it, but otherwise there are better options for what we wanted.

I honestly can't recommend this place enough. Proprietors are great, facilities are fantastic, and the scenery, the lake, the woods, everything is just heavenly. I can't wait to return. Very reasonably priced.

This place is wonderful. Hidden away in the hills but still close enough to Kelowna to get away many times in the summer. The lake is warm for swimming, the beach is sandy for playing and the resort cabins are a great place to stay. There are RV and tenting spots too. I find the resort staff friendly and knowledgeable.

The male owner here is super rude. The location is beautiful but I don’t think I’d ever feel safe coming back. Stay at the free campsite next to the lodge if you have a tent! Totally not worth the drive to stay at this lodge.

This resort is well run, clean and functional. Most remote resorts are deficient on these three things, falling apart. As a result our stay was very close to perfect. The cabin (#3) is lake view, rhe boat rental was inexpensive making bringing my own not worth the bother. While the trout are only pan size, they were biting on small wet flies and “0” Mepps spinners. Wood stove, full size kitchen all a bonus. Bring ALL your cloth items, tea towel, dish cloth, towels, pillows and bedding, and an axe. The owners are nice folks and take pride in their operation. We will return!

I'm surprised to find any middle ground reviews, to me this is either a 1-star or 5 depending on your POV. The only reason I'm hesitant to give it 5-stars is I don't want other people booking this place up ;). To us this was perfection. No cell service, quiet little lake and just enough amenities so it still feels like you are roughing it to some extent. Someone that wants full fast connectivity while they are away and all the amenities.. they are going to hate it (like the people that give Point-no-point poor reviews). We went to Postill to get away from it all, and despite being so close to civilization it definitely felt like we had left it all behind. Perfection (for our tastes/goals). Highlights: quiet lake (fishing rentals are electric trolling motors), nice little beach, playground for the kids, good bbq at each cabin. What people may not like: bugs, slow internet (if you opt for it), water temp was all over the place (we were happy to have our own shower), water must be boiled to drink, limited power means no hair dryers electric toasters, bring your own bedding/towels etc.. basically it's a step above camping and I liked our cabin a lot more than our trailer. Our particular cabin had no issues with airflow (plenty of screened windows and a screen door). We've already booked for next year.

Went there with my family in July 2017 for tenting. We had a great time there except for the weather. It was cool and rainy unfortunately. The tenting site was fabulous with a awesome view on the lake and a private beach area (waterfront site). You can fish, you can walk in the forest, you can rest and enjoy the beautiful nature. For me, this is the best concept of nature camping! I highly recommend this camping!

The only thing my family did not enjoy about this experience was that we could only stay for one night. As other guests have posted, if you want the Pan Pacific- go to the Pan Pacific- this is a genuine rustic and well-maintained collection of cabins in a beautiful setting on a quiet lake. The cabin we were in was one of the oldest- built just after the Second World War in a time when getting away from the worries of the world would have been at a premium. The cabin we had did not have hot water but this was fine with us and we knew about it ahead of time. Other cabins do have hot water- this just wasn't an issue for us. Showers are available at the main lodge- some cabins have showers- so you can decide your own level of amenities.. Our cabin did have a flush toilet, well-equipped kitchen with full sized stove and a lovely wood burning stove which we did not have to use. There are newer cabins- one is enormous- but when we go again- I think I'd like to try and get our rustic "Deer Hollow" (all of the cabins have names) again. Guests are reminded to bring their own bedding- we had sleeping bags and pillows-so we were fine. Pull out couch had seen better days but somehow- that was all part of the charm of the place. If you want to get away but still have a few of those creature comforts- this is your place. Rates are VERY reasonable. The location is beautiful and the stars are amazing. Long-time owners are dedicated to their property and are friendly and helpful.

20 minutes up a well kept logging road and you are out of the tourist insanity of Kelowna. Very friendly staff. The cabins are old and there is no hot water but there is a toilet and showers by the main building have hot water. This is a fishing lodge not the Hyatt which is what we wanted. We stayed for a week using it as our base. You are only 30 minutes from Kelowna. Boats and fishing gear are available. Also you can hear what I thought were wolves howling at night. We saw Osprey flying over head and diving to catch fish. Deer on shore. I liked to sit on the balcony at night and sip wine with my wife or smoke a cigar. It gets pitch black! You are close to the lake no matter where your cabin is. It was very nice and an excellent way to unwind after a day touring. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a get away especially if you like fishing or quadding.

We stayed at cabin 1, the most rustic cabin but right on the lake. It was very quiet and relaxing, we fished a bit, had a fire and just unwound. Cory (one of the owners) is very nice and accommodating, we will be back soon with the rest of our family .
