We rented cabin 4 for 3 days in July 2020. The cabin itself was very quaint and lovely with a wood stove, small bar fridge and a toilet. There is a loft that houses a queen sized bed and two bedrooms on the first floor beside eachother that also have queen beds. Bring your own drinking water as it is not potable and needs to be boiled first. The lodge itself is situated right on the water and has a co-ed shower room at the back. It takes loonies and has pleasant hot water and sufficient water pressure. Our cabin was steps from the water and in a very good location. The owners have a couple of cats "jagger" and ? and they are great hunters! If you are squeamish about seeing mice and cats in their natural habitat or have small children then I would not recommend it. We witnessed about 5 mice deaths. The first night; about 25 minutes after going to bed we heard a mouse chewing into our cracker bag. We ensured that all the food was in the cooler and luggage to detur any critters. The next two nights we were accompanied by mice again. These are rustic cabins and this is to be expected but it was a little unsettling. The lake itself is cold. We swam but were shaking like leaves afterwards and it was quite windy. There were hundreds of tadpoles which was pretty cool. Do not let your kids play in the sandbox area as we witnessed the cat using it as a litter box. We we're really hoping to swim and float during this time and this lake just doesn't deliver. If you're looking for a rustic camp feel and swimming is not a huge priority then I recommend it, but otherwise there are better options for what we wanted.…
I honestly can't recommend this place enough. Proprietors are great, facilities are fantastic, and the scenery, the lake, the woods, everything is just heavenly. I can't wait to return. Very reasonably priced.
This place is wonderful. Hidden away in the hills but still close enough to Kelowna to get away many times in the summer. The lake is warm for swimming, the beach is sandy for playing and the resort cabins are a great place to stay. There are RV and tenting spots too. I find the resort staff friendly and knowledgeable.
The male owner here is super rude. The location is beautiful but I don’t think I’d ever feel safe coming back. Stay at the free campsite next to the lodge if you have a tent! Totally not worth the drive to stay at this lodge.
This resort is well run, clean and functional. Most remote resorts are deficient on these three things, falling apart. As a result our stay was very close to perfect. The cabin (#3) is lake view, rhe boat rental was inexpensive making bringing my own not worth the bother. While the trout are only pan size, they were biting on small wet flies and “0” Mepps spinners. Wood stove, full size kitchen all a bonus. Bring ALL your cloth items, tea towel, dish cloth, towels, pillows and bedding, and an axe. The owners are nice folks and take pride in their operation. We will return!
