Hotel and staff are wonderful. I gave location a 3 because while it was close to the downtown core and lake, some families may not appreciate the fact the Mission is beside the property and as a result there are many homeless.
Nice hotel. The location for restaurants & shopping is great. The staff are all really friendly and super helpful. The fitness centre was okay. Good size of room (double Queen) and nice bathroom size too! Would stay again for sure. Easy & simple parking situation too.
Six people room does not fit six people, sofa bed does not fit 2 people. AC is too close to the bed, cannot run during sleeping time. Washroom is kind crowded, foot towel won't fit when you open the washroom door. Price is very expensive even with senior discount.
For the price you pay, know you’re paying only for the location. We do an annual girls trip to Kelowna and decided to stay here instead of where we would normally stay. Concierge at check in seemed off, not sure if he was stressed or having a bad day, but the initial interaction wasn’t great. We went to run an errand before going to the room, so an hour later we got back to the hotel and actually walked into the first suite. The minute you open the door, the room smells like something died in it. At first, we thought it was maybe the garbage cans outside the room that have been sitting in +30° heat, but quickly figured out that wasn’t it. Since we couldn’t locate the source of the smell, I went down to the front desk to talk to the same concierge about it. He came up with us to check, confirmed the presence of the smell, and moved us across the hall. Although the original smell wasn’t an issue in the new room, we found over our three day stay that the bathroom would smell of sewer whether it was being used or not. My guess is the smell intensified the more people were using the bathrooms in their rooms. At this point we felt it was going to be more of a hassle than anything to move rooms so we didn’t say anything until we checked out. Our balcony light wouldn’t turn on. When I called down to the front desk the following night, I was told only some of the rooms had light switches and that they should all turn on. Ours didn’t and no one offered to change the bulb or anything. I get that it’s minor but as two females who wanted to sit outside late in the evening without having to deal with safety issues (a lot of heavy drug use in extremely close proximity to the hotel/beach/marina), not being able to fully utilise the balcony was a let down. Parking was charged on the last day, even though the concierge told me on the first day he was charging it (I paid in full upon check in). Lastly, the hotel does not provide breakfast. I’ve stayed at a number of BW Properties, so it seems odd considering I paid $1000 to stay at the hotel for three nights. We really wanted to love this hotel and will likely not stay here again.…
This place is very close to to hot sands beach, the water park is so much fun for kids. It has a nice restaurant. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Some parts of the hotel have been renovated and it looks nice. But it is dirty! The shower has mild and mildew on the tiles. The pool floor is gross. If this place was clean I would give it 5 out of 5 but because it’s so dirty I would give it a 2 out of 5. It’s right by a noisy road but the patio doors are sound proof. Beautiful view of the mountains.
Dirty and smelly grout in pool, in hotub, in room shower. Rusty closet rails. This place is lipstick on a pig. They stopped short of fully renovating and maintaining the place. I can still remember the gross smell of their pool a week later.
This hotel was being renovated. I appreciate renovations and upgrades, however I do not think I should be paying $320.00 a night to have rolls of carpet, mop buckets and dirty laundry in the hallway. No water on arrival, later when I went back to the desk to get some I was escorted up 2 flights of stairs to a utility room where the desk person found 2 bottles of water in a bucket.
Wonderfully, helpful and friendly staff. Nice room with balcony. Affordable and great location.. close to a very nice shopping street and a a really nice park. Also a really nice restaurant and delicious food.
This is a great property located across the street from a park that fronts the lake. Easy walk to Cactus Club, The Grand Hotel & Casino along with other dining opportunities. The neighborhood is a little sketchy & some of the residents keep odd hours but we had no issues & staff was excellent.
Although there is no beach here and the hotel is actually on a busy road it is a good location close to the lakeside which is a great spot for an evening stroll. There are also a number of restaurants close by. The reception were very helpful allowing us to check in early but check your bill as we were initially charged more for parking than had been quoted when we booked. This was rectified though. The room is light with a balcony, unfortunately overlooking the busy road so not great for sitting outside. There were 2 big double beds and a desk area as well as a fridge. There was also a large shower but it took a good 5 mins for the water to get hot! Overall a decent option for a nights stay and more character than a lot of the other chain hotels.
