Barbie was a lovely hostess and cooked superb breakfasts. We had the spacious downstairs bedroom in this stylish house designed to make the most of it views above the canyon. We only had one full day in Kelowna but would have loved to stay in the area longer.
From the moment we arrived the experience unfolded in an inviting and accommodating way. Barbie was a gracious hostess and she ensured that my wife and I were taken care of. When we booked through hotels.com they were not clear on the sleeping arrangements and Barbie took us through their three selections and let us choose what we wanted. We took the large bedroom with a king bed and the queen room. Both were elegant, appealing to the eye and most importantly comfortable. The first morning was almost beyond words...sitting outside on the lower level of a three level deck I noticed the waterfall in the canyon..it was beautiful. Breakfasts are legendary and all three were different and delicious. There are several enticing walks/hikes in the canyon and local farms along with a world class golf course (Black Mountain) close by. I can't say enough about the hospitality that Barbie, Greg, Cash and Hef (the cat) provided. It was a spectacular experience all the way around....and as far as the previous comment about the cost is concerned...it was not a hotel/motel experience it was closer to a world class retreat.. and well priced at that!!!…
We had never stayed at a B&B before and were not sure what to expect but the second we walked through the door for our stay on July 9 - 12, 2017, we were wowed beyond anything we had imagined. The house was like a mansion perched on the edge of a magnificent canyon with spectacular views of the waterfalls and the creek running through the bottom of this exceptional natural vista. The decks and hot tub were an ideal location for our retreat and allowed us to unwind in perfect serenity. We were delighted with the much needed peace and quiet. The spirit suite, complete with Jacuzzi tub and king sized bed, was very clean and comfortable. The whole house was beautifully decorated with a western theme that complemented the rescue horses that are on the ranch. The skills and talents of our amazing hostess, Barbie, were highlighted by the breakfasts that she prepared from scratch which were fabulous with abundant variety. Barbie was very attentive and friendly but gave us privacy when needed. The location was minutes from downtown Kelowna and close to restaurants and shopping malls. We would definitely like to come back and would recommend this wonderful bed & breakfast to anyone. Thank you Barbie, Greg and Chase for this wonderful experience.…
Stayed one night with my wife on our way to a remote lake to go fishing. We were told check in was 3pm and we arrived by a somewhat bewildered attitude by a woman and a small boy giving us the feeling like... Who are you? Not a great greating after a long drive in our minds. She asked if we could come back in about 30 minutes, which was no problem for us as we were hungry anyway. After eating she showed us the room which was clean and had a good view outside. After waking the next morning we headed up for breakfast and had a nice chat with another couple. As far as breakfast.... well I really don't think that a small bowl of warm oatmeal with a few blueberries and a side of strawberries and a few grapes constitute a breakfast when you pay $190.00 a night for accommodation. Sorry doesn't cut it! Take a pass on this place. Nice but not worth the money. Lots of other options. Trust me. …
I can not say enough positive things about this bed & breakfast. The home is majestic with decor that people only dream about or see in magazines. Upon entering the home, you will get a sense of calm. It's both peaceful & romantic & is situated overlooking a waterfall canyon. You can sit on the deck with a glass of wine, close your eyes, & just listen to the waterfall. As the night gets cooler, the hot tub is another great way to unwind. The hostess (Barbie) is just wonderful. She's an amazing & hardworking person who ensures all of her guests are comfortable. She is clued in to when she should engage with the guests verses letting them have their independence. She trusts her guests & respects their needs. The breakfasts that were prepared by Barbie were truly outstanding & are above and beyond any 5 star restaurant! I had the privilege of staying three nights in the Luna room which made my heart stop for a fraction of a second. This was a room of my wildest dreams! It was fit for a princess with chandeliers gracing the sides of the gold bed. The room was comprised of floor to ceiling windows with a private outdoor patio overlooking the falls. In addition, I was also spoiled with my own bathroom & beautiful linens. Staying at a bed & breakfast has been on my bucket list, but this resort is a gem that everyone should experience for themselves. I will most certainly be back. The location, atmosphere, hospitality, & beauty are unparalleled to any other resort, condo, or hotel that I have ever come across. Thank you! …
