We had been told by our travel agent that the stopover hotels in Kamloops would be fairly basic . The hotels are allocated by the Rocky Mountaineer so we didn't know where we would be staying until arrival and we were really pleasantly surprised. First and foremost the staff were delightful from start to finish - every single member of...

Visited with a friend, was a great value for what I paid. Solid breakfast - omelettes and waffle station are worth it. Close to restaurants etc downtown. Oversize parking out back if you have a large vehicle.

Walk-in booking after arriving in Kamloops. Rate for 3ppl was only $109 plus tax inc parking & breakfast complimentary . Based on that I thought the rooms might be dated and under par. The receptionist said the rooms were dated but very clean. (I was expecting something from the 80/90's lol). Very clean and not ultra modern but I certainly...

Clean, comfortable, with wonderful swimming pool that was cool and minimally chlorinated, and amazing breakfast. Located right in downtown Kamloops in easy walk of restaurants (the Noble Pig was great) and the park along the river.

Our family had a terrific stay at The Thompson. Reasonably priced, parking and breakfast included. Centrally located downtown. No fuss but with great amenities and comfortable beds. They also accommodated our dog for an additional fee of $25 per night. I wouldn't hesitate to book again for my next stay in Kamloops.
