My family of four just returned from a stay here and we could not recommend it more highly. From the setting which is unbelievably beautiful, to owners, staff, and delicious food, everything is wonderful. The real highlight is, of course, the wildlife and we felt so privileged to be able to see such a diverse array of bears, and marine...

Dreams come true!! So very friendly and professional! Glen was our Guide and we enjoyed so many awesome experiences: So many Bald Eagles, with the bonus of a Grizzly Bear and her cubs, as well as a Black Bear and her cubs. Enjoyed meeting Rick and being in the woods. Glen is an awesome Photographer, so I bought some of...

We stayed at sailcone's for three nights and it was perfect. The lodge is small and the accommodation perfect for the surroundings, but basic. We had the cabin and this is small, but has everything you need and a view!!!! Angus took us on the tours and knows what he's doing and where to be. Both the grizzly's and the...

It is the people as well as the wildlife that make a visit to Grizzly Bear Lodge so memorable. From the first email contact until the farewells at the wharf every staff member went out of their way to make this a special and extremely pleasurable experience. The lodge is beautifully situated overlooking the water and surrounded by a lovely...

Accomodation is basic, but everything you need is provided. Nice and clean. We had the room downstairs, which means you have to use a shared bathroom. Not very convenient. Rooms upstairs and the cabin have private bathrooms. But that's enough about the lodge. If you want luxury, go to the Maldives. It's all about nature here. And that is what...

Excellent 4 night trip at very reasonable cost when compared with the alternatives. Friendly and very knowledgeable guides, excellent food from Madeleine and Angus willing to be flexible. We were able to swap our estuary trip for further whale watching where we had a huge orca pass right under our boat! Bear watching excellent even if the salmon were a...

Lodge was spotlessly clean which gave us an indication how the operators ran the place. Small Lodge, only 10 people on our visit.Bears, whales in abundance.Food was excellent, the guides were knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. A very good experience all round.

If you're interested in wildlife this should not be missed! The lodge, which only sleeps up to 10, is ideally situated on Minstrel Island in Knight Inlet giving easy access to the seaward part of the inlet for watching orca, whales and dolphin but also to the rivers to see grizzlies and salmon leaping. We went out with Angus and...
