We stayed here for two nights in room 260 in the newer section and the room had been recently remodeled. This is an older motel so some of the rooms rmight not be as good as the room we had. The motel had 2 outdoor hot tubs which we used and were very nice. They also had an indoor pool...

We had a great experience here. We booked just a regular dog friendly room, but they upgraded us to a suite, so we had a separate room and a kitchenette which was a nice bonus! The room although dog friendly didn't show any signs of dogs being there and didn't smell. The rooms themselves could possibly be updated, the bathroom...

This hotel room was too small for 2 adults with 2 cases to move around in - we managed for 3 nights as we loved the area so much we were out most of the time. However I would have needed a family room which was not on offer despite being empty due to the booking made with agent. This...

Stayed at the Tonquin Inn for 4 nights the first week of October in a family kitchenette suite (room 205) for a girls' get away. I was kind of nervous after reading some of the less than positive reviews on here as it got closer to our departure time but after staying there I have absolutely nothing bad to say...

Visited Jasper during a family long weekend. Stayed at the Tonquin Inn 2 nights. It's a cozy family place. We were 4 and got a family suite with kitchenette!!! Clean, comfy, and great location. Kitchenette had neat utensils and was comfortable for breakfast; we even had friends over and enjoyed a couch in the room that provided good sitting area....

Stayed there 2 nights at the conclusion of an escorted tour starting from Calgary and going to Banff, Lake Louise & Jasper. Hotel was quite adequate though not as classy as the others we stayed in as part of the Gate 1 Travel tour. I do like Jasper probably better than the popular Banff as it is less crowded though...

Booked 2 rooms to stay one night for Maligne Lake cruise. Hotel is a bit far from the downtown core, had to drive to the supermarket and restaurant. Rooms are on the ground floor facing a parking lot, rely on luck to get a parking spot in front of the room. Overall, room is clean, queen size bed is comfy,...

Check in clerk was nice. Gave an upgrade for my husbands birthday, but doing so put us on the bottom floor by the railway. There was a request that they put something the room and they chose an upgrade. Our preference would have been the top floor so no one woke us up jumping off the bed at all hours...

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the Tonquin Inn. We are disappointed to hear your concerns about our staff member at check-out. We will definitely pass on your comments to their supervisor as this is not the service we expect our guests to receive. We hope to see you again on your next visit to Jasper.

The Tonquin Inn is an older era hotel/motel. Not surprisingly, its rooms (while generously sized) are not as spacious as those of many more contemporary lodgings. Otherwise, we found that the Inn had been kept up to date: refurbished bathroom area; a seemingly fresh coat of paint; newish simple but tasteful furnishings, a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and...
