We stayed 2 nights in our small tent. Easy access, outdoor covered shared kitchen area with wood cook stove for rainy days. Firewood and hot showers are included in your camping fee. We saw a female elk walk right past the next campsite and lay...More

This campground is a major disappointment. The actual campsites are very poorly maintained and most offer very little privacy. The showers and bathrooms are disgusting. We come from BC where we take pride in our provincial campgrounds. ...this certainly isn't the case in Alberta.

We booked a spot on line for Wapiti the first part of June 2018. We arrived and were put in a site right on the Athabasca River. Great campsite, great views, nice river hiking area. Would highly recommend an overnight here.

Good question, You can come and go from the campground as you wish. The gates are not locked. As long as you are quiet and do not disturb your neighbors there should be no problem at all.
