Completely unaccommodating. The only part of my stay that was not a disaster was the fact the wi-fi actually worked. This is a one and a half star hotel. From the moment of arrival the visit went downhill. No one but panhandlers in the extremely dated lobby, long wait to check in, at midnight. Disco music blaring so loudly it...

At first glance, a classy four star hotel (lobby)....however... Rooms are tired and in dire need of upgrading (11th floor). Bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. Bathroom old and wall behind toilet had very bad moisture damage. Wifi was good enough for VPN. TV channels always ghosted/pixelated. Odd furniture choices and an office chair would have been nice. Still better than...

We contacted the management to help us make Valentines Day special for our daughter, who was traveling and staying at The Sutton Place Hotel in Edmonton. Although they did not know us, nor had we stayed there before, the staff went far above an beyond our simple request. We had assumed no one would care enough to help us out...

No hot shower the 1st morning. HVAC in room couldn't be turned on because it sounded like a Mac Truck going up a hill. A maximum of 2 of 3 elevators worked, mostly only one, frankly all three should have been retired years ago. Squeaky mattress. To be fair the room were clean and I don't think they are accountable...

We called the hotel the night before our stay to ask if there was onsite parking and was told there is. We also asked if there was a pool and hot tub to which we were told they were upstairs. When we checked in they said the pool was closed and had been for quite some time and the onsite...

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, at the time of your visit our pool had an unforeseen maintenance issue which caused the pool to be closed temporarily. The Sutton Place Hotel in Edmonton does not own or operate any parking facilities. As such we do rely on adjoining properties to provide convenient parking for our guests. The parkade in question...

The lobby is pleasant as were the staff. The hotel has direct access to the pedway (so one can avoid the freezing outside weather around the city). The gym and pool - I decided to skip after taking a quick look. The rooms are aged, but with new flatscreen tvs. Bathrooms could do with some work - my bathtub did...

When checking into the Sutton place this past weekend we realized that their building was undergoing renovations. We recognized that this would mean that some areas of the hotel were not in best repair or being worked on. When we checked into our first room we noticed stains all over the bed spread and dirty marks on the carpet. We...

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. We truly thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback truly helps us to identify the weak links in our operation and identify areas for improvement and additional training opportunities. If you've never stayed/been downtown Edmonton, you need to know that most hotels downtown were pretty much built in the eighties. Some of them are under major renovation because of the new Oilers Arena being built right now downtown (Started March 2014). The new arena is going to be right next to the Sutton Place Hotel. It could also be...

I paid a discounted rate through American Express Travel and got a very poor room. Luckily, I was only there one night. The flooring and fixtures were not only outdated, but stained as well. couldn't tell whether the blemishes were permanent or the result of poor housekeeping. My shower ran only very hot water, so I could not shower in...

Have stayed here many times and the place needs quite a bit of updating for sure. They are doing some renovations but it's going very slowly. The beds, the TV's etc have been updated but most of the walls and especially the bathrooms have not. The front desk staff was 50/50 depending on who you got. One of the ladies...
