Do yourself a favour when next in Calgary and try this lovely inn, as an alternative to the bland big-brand hotels in town. I am writing this on the morning of my third night, enjoying the best eggs benedict ever....with duck confit and pickled shallots...who knew?! A great location on the river, a short walk over the bridge into town...

Kensington Riverside Inn won our hearts in the first few hours of our stay. Superb welcome and check-in experience, tasteful and well-appointed room with a charming outdoor patio, comfortable and artistically beautiful lounge, and a world class restaurant. All of that plus the riverside location with walkable trails and neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel near Calgary night life but easy access to airport. Rooms have beautiful finishes but need better maintenance checks for little things. Battery needed to be changed in temperature control. Magnifying mirror needed screw tightened. Flushing toilet made tub gurgle. Clock set to wrong time.

The service is the most outstanding feature of the Kensington Riverside Inn. From arrival where we were greeted with cold bottled water after a long travel day to checkout where they had coffee ready in the wee hours of the morning for our early departure. Every morning there was coffee outside our room with a daily newspaper. The Chef's Table...

Excellent as usual start to finish - accommodations are great and the staff are amazing! Food is also excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure, while there is no gym on site, the trails across the street along the river are perfect for a run or walk.

Beautiful, clean building. Comfortable environment and tremendous, welcoming staff. Felt more like a warm home both in room and meals on site. Great location with immediate shopping, restaurants or a relaxing 15-20 minute stroll through parkland setting right into downtown Calgary.

Living is the city seems like a bizarre reason to staying at this property, however, its nice just to get away from it all sometimes. PRO - This hotel is simply the gold standard. CON - Its INCREDIBLY expensive but with that said, you get what you pay for.

We have just returned from Calgary visiting our Son who is a Professor of English/Film Studies at The University of Calgary. We picked the Hotel close to where he lives, and on his recommendation, and we were not surprised. It reminded us of "Chic" Hotel one might find in France or Austria. The Staff were very professional, but most of...
