Stayed in December and again yesterday as an overnight to move our student back home. Front desk help is pretty emotionally removed. Not sure why. Anyways that isn't the issue. $175 dollars for a tiny room with a huge gap at the bottom of door to ensure you here EVERYTHING that is happening in the hallway. Okay, not the end...

I stayed 2 nights at the Alma while at a conference on University of Calgary campus. The rooms are Euro style and therefore quite small. The amenities in the rooms are only adequate and at 3 pm my room had not been cleaned. The sink in the bathroom has no depth and is a strange choice for a single sink...

Booked the hotel using a 3rd party website. Website shows Queen size bed and nice amenities so I booked it. When I got to the hotel, it was a studio apartment. Asked the front desk if I can book a different room as I was willing to pay the extra price however they said that all the rooms are "studio...

Hotel Alma is a boutique hotel that is near university of Calgary. Close to downtown. Accommodations are decent. Great rate. Don't let the 3* scare you as it is classy and clean as a 5*. Breakfast included. Parking is 10.00 a night. Bath and body works shampoos and soaps.

Stayed one night for a conference. The rooms were compact but had everything I needed (mini fridge, microwave, free wifi). Front desk staff were professional and friendly. I was able to get a free gym pass to the University gym from the front desk which was a nice touch.

I was giving some guest lectures at the University of Calgary, and I stayed at the Hotel Alma for three nights. It is literally right on campus and so it could not be more convenient if you are visiting the university. The rooms are adequate....more like dorm rooms than the usual hotel rooms. The bathroom in my 5th floor room...

Hello DawgOnTheRoad, Thank you for your feedback and despite disappointments giving us 3/5. We were built in 2009 as an environmentally friendly structure, which included smaller rooms to reduce carbon footprint with a European flare. I have shared your comments regarding breakfast with our Food Services team, and they are working towards improving the menu selection and staffing levels. We...

First time staying at the Hotel Alma. Rooms are Euro modern - which means small but very modern and functional. Your stay includes breakfast at the Bistro in the morning ( continental style) Parking is only $10 a night which is a steal in Calgary.

I tired to call them more than a dozen times to let them know we would be late with no answer, so I just hopped that they would still let us check in. It took us 20 minutes to be checked in though, we stood there for at least fifteen minutes while a man was on the phone with someone,...

Stayed here recently for a conference at a university venue. Small but very clean and pleasant room. The staff at the front desk were pleasant. Breakfast room had limited choices but good quality. I could not imagine sharing this room...only large enough for one person.

Excellent room, linens, bathroom products, tea and coffee, amazing magazines, and registration staff. It was great to be right on campus for our conference. Very clean and welcoming.
