We stopped in for supper on our way through. Stunning location, average food and very overpriced for the quality. Lodge is very interesting. Stop for the view and history, save your money for better options.

This lodge has 25 rooms and is constructed of wood. It can be pricey (book well ahead for deals). Breakfasts are very expensive so, if you are traveling South, skip them and head for Bill Peyto's Cafe, next to the Hostel in Lake Louise Village, about 20 minutes drive away. The rooms are old world style and the walls and...

After looking around places for our wedding we visited the lodge and fell in love with it straight away a beautiful lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery so we booked it straight away, The contact we had from Rhiann and tom at the lodge was excellent from start to finish and on our big day they went beyond what we expected...

We stayed only for one night on our way to Jasper but the stay was great. The staff was very helpful and the room nice and cozy (no TV or Internet, just old wood furniture and lodge feeling). The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors sometimes which wasn't bad for us because ours were very quiet...

The location of this, yes, charming and slightly dowdy, lodge is perfect. Away from the bustle of Banff and Lake Louise, and significantly closer to the amazing ice fields of Banff/Jasper parks. An easy walk along spectacular Bow Lake - to the falls if you want a challenge - is just outside. Dinner and breakfast came with friendly and good...

Know what you are getting into...this is a rustic, historic property with stunning views. It's not a Hilton. The lodge is on the shore of a beautiful lake with glaciers on the surrounding mountains. The staff was friendly and professional. Our room was clean and very basic; there are no TVs or phones in the rooms, and that is fine....

. . . .but WHAT A LOCATION! This charming if a bit dowdy old lodge-style hotel is perched at the edge of Bow Lake, a magnificent glacial pool at the foot of the spectacular Canadian Rockies and its glaciers. The hotel dates from the 1950's though it looks like it could've been there much longer. Right off the Icefields Parkway,...

If the rating for our experience was based upon location only then this would be five out of 5. However, after a three hour drive, on a Friday, at the end of an exhausting working week, the service was terribly disappointing. The view from our "Glacier View Room (booked via Booking.com) was a challenge! as the view of the Crowfoot...

We only stayed 1 night but could have stayed forever. It is isolated on the shore of Bow Lake. The staff are wonderful. Everything from food to the surrounding countryside is totally magnificent. High quality for the price. Loved loved loved everything about our stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting seclusion and top service.

This lodge is situated in an spectacular location, by the Bow lake. And you pay for this. Despite the prices of the rooms are high, the breakfast in not included in the price and considering that the rooms have no fridge and that you are more than 30 minutes away from Lake Louise at the end you need to include...
