It could be because I was there in the middle of the week. This hotel is located at the bottom of the hill and I thought it was nice and secluded. I was a bit skeptical at first - heck even the doors still use regular metal keys to open - but the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I...

I can't say much that hasn't already been said but our stay at the Post Hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating to us and our 2 year old. The grounds were gorgeous and we spent a lot of time playing near the river. The food was excellent and the in-house babysitters were absolutely...

The Post isn't cheap. But it is elegant, friendly, welcoming and professional. Don't be put off by people saying that some of the rooms are 'noisy' because they face the railway track. We spent the first night in a 'railway-facing' room then the next two in a different room, and the rooms were equally good - the railway did not...

I had seen a picture of The Post Hotel 12 years ago and it looked perfect. Fulfilled my dream of staying there last week. It really was picture perfect. It was snowing, big, perfect flakes even. Service is very friendly, parking is free, tea and coffee served in the lobby during the afternoon. Food extra. The lobby was full of...

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and welcoming log fires even in 70 degree heat. Reminded us of xmas would love to see in snow. Railway is close and although I heard train I can't say they disturbed me. Out of way so no hordes if tourists like the more exclusive lake view hotels. Just need to sort out service in the...

This hotel is a real gem. The rooms where great my only complaint of the room is you can hear the trains when you are sleeping if you face the car park. The food was amazing I really liked the beef. .

The real wood fireplace was a very nice touch. Great food at top notch restaurant, cozy cabin-like rooms, much better than staying right on the lake. Good value. Highly recommended. The balcony allows you some outdoor space. I found the trains to be charming but would recommend that you request room that faces away from the track.

My husband and I chose the post for our wedding venue and we were not disappointed. It is a beautiful hotel, with amazing food. The wedding and reception were both at the hotel. The staff is amazing, anything we needed and it was done. The rooms are rustic but it's basically a log cabin but that's part of the charm....

Nice hotel…if only it was not built so very close to the railway!! What a nightmare! And of course, they don't tell you this important detail when you book. We spent a first horrible night, and then asked to move to the other side of the hotel…facing a nice steam, lawns, and nice chalets. We spent there another 2 nights.not...
