This is a property that is scheduled to be torn down next year, as far as I learned from the front front desk personnel. Thus, everything in it is left as is - you will not find luxurious fixtures, furniture, etc. The windows and tiles would have specks of dirt or calcium, respectively. There are discoloration spots on the carpet....

I needed a place to stay for a couple of days before starting a bike ride on the Tour Divide Route. the Homestead Inn was centrally located. The room was in very good shape and clean. Couldn't ask for much more.

We booked through bookings.com for 3 nights as the location was good. When we arrived at 9 pm at night, pouring rain and following a 10 hour bus ride, we were told that our booking had been cancelled as the credit card number supplied by Bookings.com had a wrong expiry. I explained that I had contacted the hotel a week...

While motels can have kitschy charm, this one we found just to have old fashioned keys for the outdoor access only rooms, very dirty carpets, threadbare bed covers and the thinnest mastresses I've seen in a long time. But, that could all be overlooked, if it weren't for the lack of air circulation, and VERY nosy street and overhead stomping....

Nice place. Large room, great location and cozy beds but their room accessories (tv, air conditioning, etc) are in bad shape or are non existent. I think it offers you what you'd paid for, I'll give them a try

Pretty decent hotel in heart of Banff for under $80. Some maintenance issues, but nothing major. (Broken screen, loose tiles in entry) No air, but hey, this is Banff. Good wifi. Comfortable, clean. Blocks from restaurants, shops.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a road trip. I had read reviews on this site and was a little scared and thought about changing places. But for $139.00 for 2 nights - including taxes and the internet fee - we decided to take our chances. The hotel is definitely run down and dated. The outside hallways...

Staff was really pleasant to deal with. Within walking distance everywhere, parking included! Basic but clean rooms. The price is fantastic. The only thing I did not like was it could be noisy in the morning, about 9:50 housekeepers are vacuuming. I understand that they have a time limit but I was hoping to sleep in a bit as you...

Excellent location, budget friendly, a bit dated but you can use the amenities of their sister company across the street which is worth it. With paid wifi, mini fridge and coffee maker. They should descale the water kettle and replace the hair dryer. Wish they have a microwave. Check in staff were nice and professional. Will definitely come back for the...

Very economical, compared to most Banff palaces. Other reasonably economical motels are far from downtown, and many are a bit grubby.Basic accommodation, not new, but room was large with two queen beds, clean, bathroom fine, nice big windows that open. Location is excellent, right downtown. Excellent check-in staff. The motel is associated with the up-scale Banff Park Lodge across the street,...
