Staff was really pleasant to deal with. Within walking distance everywhere, parking included! Basic but clean rooms. The price is fantastic. The only thing I did not like was it could be noisy in the morning, about 9:50 housekeepers are vacuuming. I understand that they have a time limit but I was hoping to sleep in a bit as you... More

Excellent location, budget friendly, a bit dated but you can use the amenities of their sister company across the street which is worth it. With paid wifi, mini fridge and coffee maker. They should descale the water kettle and replace the hair dryer. Wish they have a microwave. Check in staff were nice and professional. Will definitely come back for the... More

Very economical, compared to most Banff palaces. Other reasonably economical motels are far from downtown, and many are a bit grubby.Basic accommodation, not new, but room was large with two queen beds, clean, bathroom fine, nice big windows that open. Location is excellent, right downtown. Excellent check-in staff. The motel is associated with the up-scale Banff Park Lodge across the street,... More

The location was the biggest and only benefit to staying at the homestead. I have stayed there more than once on an irregular basis but during my last stay the management was unreasonably rude. Me and my friends were discriminated against for our age. Will not be using their services again.

spent the weekend there just to have a place to sleep and rest after touring Banff and Lake Louise. It was comfy... a bit dated, you can hear the footsteps of the people upstairs... but for the price... it serves its purposes perfectly. plus the location is so convenient.

We booked one day before arrival and paid $143CAD incl taxes for one night (it was a last minute decision to head to the mountains!) Good value considering all other hotels in Banff were charging $225+ (this was during Alberta Family Day long weekend). Pros: - use of pool and hot tub at their sister hotel across the street was... As returning customers to the Homestead Inn all I can say is EXCELLENT service again!!! Paddy and her team are always on hand to deal with any questions and offer advice on the best places to walk our dogs, and even which to avoid with the cougar sightings (thank you). The rooms are incredibly comfortable, and we always feel relaxed... More

So when you book in Banff on a weekend in peak skiing season and you pay less than $100/night.... I actually paid $72/night all in. Don't expect much. The beds are comfortable the room was clean. Can it use a reno absolutely. Do I think they are going to do updating selling rooms for 70-100/night? No.... It was warm. Everything... More

No value Banff hotel waiting demolition N51°10.654' W115°34.400' this older sister of opposite Banff Park Lodge on 222 Lynx street is waiting demolition. Years ago, the owners stopped refurbishment and only very necessary cleaning and maintenance was done. The carpets were full of stains. In the meantime, the owners cranked up the prices of this rundown hotel without lift during... More

Good value for your money. Book the third floor. Amazing location for the ski trip. The ski resort shuttles stop is right infront of the hotel. You will be the last to pickup and the first to exit the bus. LCBO and Grocery Stores is less that 500 m away.
