This little hotel is very charming and is ideally located in the heart of the "Eje Cafetero" region. The owners, Nohora and Roberto, are very kind and always present to ensure that their guests are taken care of. They can book transportation for you to/from the airport, as well as day tours. If you want to take a day and hang around the hotel to relax, they will serve you lunch (at a reasonable additional cost) and there is a nice pool and hammock. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price of the room. The food was excellent; simple and very fresh. I never felt tempted to walk into the town of Quimbaya (about 30 minutes' walk) to try a restaurant there. If you understand Spanish, book a tour of the property with Roberto and learn all about coffee, local fruits, and flora…
I loved my two nights at Finca Villa Nora! It was easy to get there--I took a bus to Quimbaya and then a short taxi ride to the finca. It turns out I had gotten the dates wrong on my reservation and I wasn't expected until the next day, but lucky for me it was no problem--their staff quickly made up the room and accommodated me. The home is beautiful and nicely furnished with period pieces. My bed was sure comfortable and the room was very attractive. The husband and wife who own the finca are very involved in the operation, and there is also a friendly and professional staff. The upstairs has the public areas, living and dining rooms and kitchen. Beautiful views over the valley, farm and garden. I strolled around the property and enjoyed the pool, and got to know the…
Ms. Nhora and her husband have a great touristic place in quimbaya, Quindío. The service was first class and everything was as promised. We had a great time in the coffee area. Ms. Nhora organized our transportation and the driver was very nice and knowledgeable. Recommend this property without reservations Thanks
There are great hotels and then there are places that are special. Finca Villa Nora is truely special. Beautiful house, rustic furniture. Beautiful surroundings at the finca. The nice thing about Quimbaya is that its just a bit further away from the mountain slope than salento, so the nights arn't chilly. This is the best Coffee Finca that I've seen in the region - and probably my favorite place to stay in all of Colombia. Great base camp, so stay more than one day. Its run by wonderful Nora and Roberto. Ask for the tour of the finca where you can learn about the coffee and learn about 20 different fruits they grow there. Food was outstanding. Its a wonderful, relaxing experience. Also, its a Finca at just the right scale, so doesn't feel touristy. I…
Location and Access – The villa is in a remote rural location on the outskirts of the small town of Quimbaya about 50 to 60 minutes by private car from Armenia airport. Google Earth – The property can just about be seen from the road on street view Architectural Style – Traditional 2 storey finca mainly of wooden construction. Most rooms on the ground floor and on the 1st floor a wrap around veranda reached by external staircases with several more rooms, sitting and dining areas and the kitchen Reception – No formal reception area. I was warmly greeted by the owner and her staff who speak little or no English and was supplied with a delicious ice cream coffee flavoured welcome cocktail Public Areas/Decor – All maintained immaculately. The grounds in particular, which…
We stayed at Villa Nora for two nights and would definitely have stayed longer if possible. The house is just as wonderful as the staff which really tries to fulfill all your wishes while staying at Villa Nora. Special thanks also to Roberto for his interesting tour around his coffee plantation and beautiful garden and Nora for welcoming us in her house full of history. We would definitely come back to this place! It is a great Finca to relax and for tours around the coffee region.
Impossible to dislike - within easy reach of coffee farms and the extraordinary giant palms at Cocora, yet it is an oasis of calm, with simple but beautiful rooms, great food, lovely grounds. Nora and her team at absolutely brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us. We loved it.
We arrived at Villa Nora and immediately felt in heaven. Everything was perfect! The fantastic house, the beautiful garden, the room, the people working at Villa Nora. We stayed for 5 days and every day was wonderful. We enjoyed the calmness of the place and the fruits growing in the garden. We did tours (cafe farm and a one day trip to Salento, Filandia and the Valle de Corcora) that Villa Nora organized for us and met a lot of nice and friendly people wherever we went. Tip: If you need an english speaking driver, ask for Santiago, he is very nice and helpful. Villa Nora is worth every Penny!!!!
Villa Nora is a calm and peaceful spot, the hosts are warm and lovely, the food is fresh, well prepared and comforting and the surroundings are exotic, lush and beautiful... perfect to rest and enjoy!
we stayed at Finca Villa Nora with our kids this June, absolutely fantastic place. Having been to the Coffee Zone a few times before - can definitely say this is the best place we have stayed so far. Beautiful house with wonderful hosts set in amazing scenery. Ask for a tour of the coffee plantation and gardens. Very good food also served.
