We stayed 2 nights and there wasn't much to fault! The staff were so attentive and even in the current circumstances our room was serviced each day! If there was any room for improvement there was a little days in the room and a small wait for breakfast on the second day, although we were kept updated on where our breakfast was regularly by the staff, I feel any criticism of breakfast on this day is injust and there were people staying who behaved totally inappropriately barging into the kitchen and swearing at the staff!

We stayed one night here on DB&B for our wedding anniversary. This is a cosy pub with a good restaurant. We were there during Covid and their precautions were good and well organised. To split a hair I think they could have provided sanitizer in the room though. Our room was comfortable with en-suite shower. Not quite large enough for an arm chair which would have been nice as there is no residents lounge downstairs and the weather was so bad we spent quite some time there! Bed and pillows very comfortable. Had a drink in the bar before dinner. They had 3 cask conditioned beers there which was good and confirms this as a proper pub. Our dinner was very good but I thought the wine list was a bit unexciting. Following morning breakfast (full English) was excellent. Was surprised that the menus did not give the source of the food which according to the waitress was all local. Someone needs to take that on board. The most abiding memory for me was the staff who were all so friendly and helpful. Made our stay a joy. Thank you

Whilst the room is nicely decorated and comfortable the service is awful. Waited 55 minutes for breakfast which was pre ordered the night before. Despite asking staff (including manager) several times we were ignored. So left without breakfast. Ruined our day. This place really needs to sort out customer service.

Ate here early one Sunday evening and we both had fish and chips which was really good and we really enjoyed. We shared the cheese and biscuits which were also really good. I enjoyed this place and would recommend though the early evening menu perhaps could do with expanding though in the current climate this is possibly not achievable. As noted a good place and worth a try.

Great attention to detail from all the staff amid the Covid crisis. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Bar area and restaurant cosy with good selection on the menu. Food was varied and well presented - excellent quality all round. Had breakfast lunch and dinner and they could not be faulted. Good wine list.
