Visited midweek with my sister & the kids for the carvery the price is cheap @ £4.99 a person but that's where the greatness ends. The veg was put on to cook @ 6am judging by the colour of it! The meat was dry , roasties & yorkshires bought in! Why? Gravy packet mix bought in also why when you...

Misinformed, wherever possible we source local veg and this is prepared fresh everyday just prior to 12 o'clock when we start our carvery and replenished during the course of service. Our roast potatoes are peeled, boiled and roasted in house. Our gravy is made from a Gluten Free base and our meat juices are added to enhance flavour whilst maintaining...

Our party of 4 decided to go for a lunch special. On entry we were greeted in a friendly and polite way. We had drinks sitting by the log fire whilst reviewing the "Lunch Special Menu". We noted that there was a good selection of traditional starters and main courses on the well priced combination menu. We moved to our...

This is an extension to the original building and seems to have been done on the cheap. Sound insulation is virtually nil and the floors are creaky. The shower head in our bathroom was so dirty we had to clean it with an old toothbrush before use. This is a roadside pub yet the place was in darkness when we...

The interior decor was clean and tidy. we were greeted by welcoming staff. It was not especially busy for a Saturaday evening. A mixture of mains including several carvery specials. The meals were timed to arrive roughly in line with carvery selection. Selection of veg with carvery was sparse - more choice and ample amounts would have been better. e.g....

It was excellent , 3 choices of tender meat and a lovely assortment of fresh vegetables. There was hardly anyone there as this...

My wife and I called in for a meal on Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn't too busy so we sat by the fire and ate. We had a sharing combo to start; it could have been main - so much food! I had a mixed grill for main which I couldn't finish and my wife had the lamb shank which...

6 of us went for a carvery at the Leaking Well. Not a huge of fan of carvery's but it was a cracking bit of dinner. Meat was good and not like rubber like usual carvery rubbish. the staff were pleasant and polite. Would recommend if you want a roast on a moments notice and can't be bothered to cook...
