This was our first visit to Puerto Penasco and this particular Grand Mayan Resort. We had a lovely time and would go back. This is a small resort and does not have some of the amenities that their larger resorts have but I prefer smaller and quiet. The beach is lovely and user friendly and the resort has a relation...

We stayed with our kids. The beach is the best in Rocky Point. It's quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The only heated pool is the inside one. It is about 20 minutes from town and the restaurant on the patio was very mediocre. The Grand Mayan is still under construction.

We stayed at the Mayen Palace / Grand Mayen over spring break, the resort is beautiful but the service was the worst I've experienced in a very long time. After waiting hours and hours at the pool and getting horrible to no service we found we were quadruple billed. We tried to dispute the charges (one we did successfully dispute...

If you're looking for a very nice relaxing & quiet week then this is the place. This is not a high rise place so it obviously reduces the noise factor. It is a great place for a family to vacation at. However, if your kids are over 18 y.o. they will want to be at the Malecon district-where all the...

The Mayan Palace was a nice place. I went in with the understanding and knowing that I would not be on the Grand Mayan side and I was fine with that. I was almost not able to go due to some health issues of my mother, but after a hectic week of trying to get her taken care of, we...

Upon arrival we requested an ocean view condo. Non was available so we were placed in a room with a view of the estuary for two nights then later moved to an ocean view room. Too cold to eat outside so the only place to eat was the Bacal. They offered some type of buffet every night. Sometimes you could...

We flew into PHX and rented a car and drove to this beautiful resort. We called an got mexican car insurance from ProAlliance. They were inexpensive - but you can stop literally anywhere on the way to the border and get it so don't stress. I just don't know how much it is when you stop and get it. I...

I must say the staff that works here and works hard, waiters, house keeping, cooks, are Great! They are friendly, polite and do a good job. On the other hand, The front desk and check in is terrible. 6 people stand around as 1, Oscar, looks you in the face and lies to you that there are no Ocean view...

Dear Guest : Thank you for providing your comments about your vacation at Mayan Palace. We are pleased to learn our restaurants’ and housekeeping staff was efficient. It was a very wet and soggy ride down from Phoenix, Arizona to the Grand Mayan in Puerto Penasco. The mud was thick and sticky. However, the sun came out the next day, the skies were a lovely hue of blue, the muck and mud were attended to and all was well again with the world. We were down for...

This was our third trip to this resort in the last nine years so we knew what to expect for travel etc. The resort has been split into two sections with the Grand Mayan now completed. The rooms were as we expected , huge and comfortable and clean. Each room had its own TV, chairs and table while the dining...
