It is about a mile walk to get into the business area but probably 2.5 miles to get to the Malecon area where many of the nicer restaurants and shops are located. We had a car so did not walk but would have felt safe... More

They have standard outlets no converters or inverters needed. Hope you have a great trip!!

Yes you can. Perosnally I would bring two coolers. One with drinks and another one for the colosal shrimp purcahsed at Malecon Market ($8 a lb can bring back 50 pounds)
