Firstly, remember this is a 3 star hotel not 4 or 5. Taking this into consideration I was pleasantly surprised after seeing some of the scathing reviews. The location isn't great if you want the beach but shuttle bus available to take you there and bring you back. Rooms are basic, but clean and functional. I had a lovely room on 3rd floor in B block overlooking the pool. You can get to rooms without using the steps; it's just not clear how to do it at 11.30 at night. No air con in room but ceiling fan was enough for me. Bedding and towels were changed. Fridge, hairdryer and TV in room but no kettle. I knew this in advance so took travel one with me. If you like your tea, take metal insulated bottle to put some cold milk in as non available throughout the day but plenty of other drinks available and all self service apart from spirits. No bottled water but outlets to fill bottles up. I just bought some from the spar which is 5 min walk just around the corner and has a comprehensive selection of items. Small shopping centre opens at 10am and is just 10-15 min walk away with big supermarket. The food was fab. Didn't struggle with selections at all and was replenished regularly. Very comprehensive selection. Some things could do with being hotter but in 7 days there was a great selection. Pool food available in between main restaurant meals as well. Vending machines avaliable if you needed snacks. My biggest bug bear was the sunbeds. People putting towels down then disappearing for 4 hours. Unacceptable. Plus the spanish take over the place at weekends and everything geared around them. Having said that, I enjoyed my (solo) stay and would go back as the pluses definitely outweigh the small minuses. For a 3* it's definitely good value for money.

Having read some of the reviews before we came out, my husband and I were a bit unsure. However, we were genuinely really surprised by how impressed we were. When we first arrived, I was disappointed with our initial room. We were overlooking the kids pool and motorway. We spoke to a really lovely and understanding lady at reception and she allowed to view three other rooms until we found one that suited us (we decided to updraft ourselves to a pool view room.) The room was slightly larger than our original one but that’s the price you pay for. We loved having a pool view room, I would say it is very noisy though. Not sure if it’s because of COVID or if the hotel is genuinely really hot on cleaning, but the area around the pool and the pool itself was cleaned every single day. But the machines to do the jobs were so noisy. Because the rooms don’t have air con, only a ceiling fan, we had to sleep with the door and windows open which meant at about 5am every morning we’d wake up to noise. This could also have been because we were on the second floor. Although as per other reviews the hotel restaurant food is a bit ‘samey’ it didn’t bother us for the first week. My husband struggled in the second week, but I always found there to be something different to eat. I usually ate from the live station. The entertainment was great - for kids and adults. Our daughter loved the mini disco (shake it couldn’t be on every night!) and we loved the range of ‘shows’ put on. We didn’t use the free bus to the beach, we paid for taxis each time. Only €5 each way. We enjoyed the beach, shopping and ate out twice on Boulevard Faro - would recommended that! A member of our party had a slight issue with one of our return-to-the-UK travel tests and so needed a new one. The hotel manager (I think she was?! Helped us massively. The hotel can arrange for antigen and PCR tests for you. You do need to complete a long form which the manager helped my dad to do. She even called the local doctor/nurse to confirm everything etc. Overall, we were so happy with our room, the cleanliness of the hotel, the customer service by the team and the entertainment. The restaurant food wasn’t amazing, but I was happy considering this is a 3 star hotel. I would stay again happily!

i thought I'd spend a moment of relaxation, but as the climatist in the rooms, you should have stayed with the window open, but the music was too loud since the first afternoon. Then I paid with the others, but it couldn't be found in the pool bed. From the night before, people occupy bed with seabed.

We stayed here at the start of aug 2021. Just wanted a last minute family break cause of COVID and with the stress of the last 2 years. I feel this hotel should be more 4 star than 3 star in my opinion. We all had a great time. Positives: - Good choice of food in restaurant each day - rooms clean - Staff friendly and helpful - Plently of sun loungers - good hygiene for preventinv covid spread (hand gels across the hotel, staff prompting use of masks when walking across the hotel & to the bar etc) Negatives: - No Air con, just a ceiling fan - no dressing table mirror - entertainment didnt match the app - cannot use beach balls or lilos in the pool - Our room was very close to outside stage so very noisy until 11pm - Kids pool slide has stained all of my daughters crotch area in her swimsuits bright blue from the slide paint so all swimsuits are ruined We found out after 3 days that you can hire a plug in fan from reception which i would recommend. €10 deposit and €20 hire fee. The lady at reception tried to say i had to wait a day to collect it but when my husband asked she said it will be ready in 1 hour. And again with late checkout, I was told could not have late checkout without paying per person for wristbands to be extended and pay €30 each but my husband was told it could be done, so not sure why i was treated differently to him?

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent holiday experience among us, our main goal being to ensure we keep on delivering unforgettable holiday experiences to our guests, your comments are crucial in this process therefore we highly value your time and constructive critics. Thorough cleaning being an absolute must for Mirador we thank you for highlighting the cleanliness of our hotel; we strive to give total confidence in this area, being fully aware that this is basic for a comfortable holiday expérience in any hotel. Your kind words for our staff is very much appreciated and will be a great source of motivation, we will certainly not fail to convey your compliments to all of them. We are sorry we did not have the posibillity to meet you in person and offer you a solution such as change of the room or a laundry service for the swimsuits of your daughter. There should be some misunderstanding between with our reception staff, because normally if you came the fisrt day late then you have right of lunch the last day. The late check out is 30 euro and if you stay to use our installations and services is 15 euro per person. Again we thank you for this review of our hotel and we look forward to serving you again in the future . Sincerely, Vesela Vasileva Guest Experience

Room and all Equipment was as you can expect for 3* hotel. We were expecting more about food and drinks. We didn’t like opening hours of the bar. Staff was really nice and we liked animation program. Pool was nice and clean. We enjoyed our holiday!
