We had a great time at the Presidente. Yes the rooms can smell mildew like due to the humidity and air conditioning but after a while you don't even notice it. We stayed for two weeks at the hotel. Here are the things we liked: staff was attentive and if you tipped them a few bucks they were extra attentive....

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not consider this "4 star" hotel AT ALL for your next vacation. My husband and I booked three nights in the Intercontinental Presidente Ixtapa hotel this past December 1, 2009. Previously, we had spent two wonderful nights in a gorgeous, refined and quiet hotel in Acapulco. We arrived in good spirits and ready for some more...

First trip to Ixtapa...it came recommended by friends but we found the hotel on our own. We booked thru BookIt.com after having some responses from emails from the Jorge the Concierge. We had an amazing 10 day stay with them right from our arrival. We had booked a Garden Room & when we were checked in we were given a...

Just returned from ten wonderful days at the Intercontinental Presidente Ixtapa. We stayed oceanfront with a great view of the beach and the mesmerizing crashing sounds of the waves. We are plotting our return trip! As an all inclusive we found this to be a wonderful value and one of the most comfortable, accomodating resorts that we have ever travelled...

We arrived very excited to stay in an all inclusive hotel. It was all inclusive but the wait for everything was unbelievable. One whole family was there for a reunion and we were second class to that. Drinks weak at best and pool was at a sizzling 89 degrees. Not refreshing at all. Last night there was ruff they started...

We Travelled with our good friends and we were a little concerned with some of the comments we read here. I have to tell you that we had a great time.We would not consider ourselves world travellers but have taken about 15 -2 week sun vacations and believe me we have seen it all, and this place did not disapoint...

We had booked and paid for what we thought would be 4 wondeful days of fun in the sun. What we received by the hotel staff was very bad customer service and nasty attitudes. We ended up having to stay at a different hotel that had higher rates for not booking in advsnce. To top it all off neighther the...

This hotel is an all inclusive resort. The location is great, right on the beach. A short walk across the street are lots of shopping and restaurants. However, while the hotel is quite dated, part of the problem with that is there is no sound proofing. The noise from the bar which included kareoke that didn't even start until 9:00...

We just got back from a week at the Presidente Intercontinental in Ixtapa. It was with some trepidation that we selected this Hotel after seeing some of the comments/reviews that were posted. My fears proved totally unfounded. The Presidente is a older, smaller 4 star resort. Doesn’t pretend to be anything else. It is, however, very well looked after. It...

The first time the water would not drain from the tub, then the next room we had so many little bugs, we had to use hair spray to kill then(they were all over, bathroom, bedroom) just gross) then finally they gave us the third room which we had to pay more for...
