We had a very enjoyable lunch at the Garniche. We'd planned a nearby walk and the staff were happy for us to use their car park. They made us feel very welcome on our return and offered our thirsty dog a drink without asking. Dogs are welcome in the sofa area, we made the most of the log burner. Lunch... More

Staying for one night at the end of a road trip, this place looks fantastic and cosy from the outside, with plenty of parking at the front. The bar and restaurant area is spacious, modern and relaxing. Perfect for sitting and reading whilst enjoying the ale and wine on offer. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here. The lunch consisted... More

We stayed for two nights in Room 3 which is the executive room which had a great huge bed, lovely walk in shower, tv, dvd and coffee facilities. Lovely and clean, with super soft towles and a stunninmg view of the gardens. We were met by the wonderful hosts Paul and Julie, who are helped by the fabulous Keith. Nothing... More

I stayed with a colleague for 1 night in Sept 16. There are only 3 rooms, which are very nice indeed. Everything is new, and clean and nicely decorated. Great bathrooms too. the couple that run the place are extremely nice and friendly. There is a very nice shop attached, nice lounge area and very good restaurant. Although it was... More

Like so many others, we have driven past many times and I always forget it as an option when trying to think of a good restaurant that we haven't visited before. Booking was easy and I was particularly grateful that they were able to offer gluten free options which were both sensible and helpful. The setting is pleasant and light... More

We stayed for one night and although it is along a main road that wasn't a problem noise wise. There is a lovely walk alongside the fields which we walked down before a lovely dinner. The service was great and our room was very nice, they also provide fresh milk for tea instead of the UHT pots! Breakfast was good.

So pleased that you enjoyed your stay and found it convenient to be on the main road without traffic noise disturbing you. Glad that you took advantage of the walk that runs down the side of us and into the local village of Hazelton, it seems such a contrast from the busy road to the beautiful countryside. Pleased that you... More
