We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Colonial in February 2005. The hotel location cannot be beat. You are literally steps from the zocolo and cathedral. Rooms were kept very clean although they were not anything fancy. The hotel has great colonial ambience. They do have an elevator to get your baggage to the room but depending on what... More

We stayed in Hotel Colonial just before Christmas 2004. The hotel has a great location in a quiet traffic free street opposite a beautiful old church. Our double room was large with tiled floors and lovely painted ceiling. Bathroom off was roomy and clean with excellent shower. We arrived before our room was ready but the staff were obliging and... Stayed in the hotel, end of August 04, as the result of recommendation in Lonely Planet gudebook.
