Second visit to the Soledad and it remains a great place to stay in Centro Morelia. Nicely appointed rooms, beautiful well maintained courtyard and public spaces. King beds, excellent linens and towels (no face clothes), flat screen TV, air conditioned rooms, free in-room wi-fi bottled water and safe. Breakfast was included in our price plus a free welcome drink and...

It's easy to see why this hotel consistently ranks near the top of the list in the lovely town of Morelia. On my recent one night stay, which wasn't nearly enough, I was absolutely enchanted by the interior courtyard, gardens and fountains. While my room was a bit dark due to it's location -- limiting any direct sunlight, the recent...

We could have settled down here! Reflecting the charming city of Morelia, this newly refurbished hotel is dripping with luxury. Some minor construction was in progress when we stayed but didn't change or views. Julio at reception from Chicago spoke excellent English and helped us get our bearings. Breakfast is delicious and most importantly the location can't get any closer...

I did not stay at the hotel but went there for breakfast and all I can say is that it was worth every penny. Delicious food, wonderful attentive service and all this is an enchanting outdoor courtyard full of beautiful plants and with a flowing fountain. Incredible experience! Would love to go back again; it was so peaceful and nice.

Stopped for 2 nights in the historic old Mexican capital of Morelia and chose Soledad based on other reviews and I was not disappointed. It was just off the main town plaza and cathedral. The interior courtyard / gardens were lovely and a wonderful place to have a drink after a busy day of sightseeing. Food here was also very...

This is a very nice hotel in Morelia and very well situated a half a block from the cathedral and plaza. The beds are large and comfortable and the bathroom is especially nice. Ask for a room off the street. The shutter type window treatment allows for almost total darkness. The courtyard is very pretty and a great place to...

After looking at rooms in four hotels I went with Hotel de la Soledad. Wow, I am so glad I decided to spend a little extra money to stay at this fabulous hotel. The building was built in 1701 and is of the classic baroque architecture as is much of the historical central district. Just a half block from the...

I spent 4 months in this hotel few years ago, and every time I am back to Morelia I enjoy spending at least couple of nights here. The service is excellent; they make every effort to anticipate your needs. This time I stayed in the new side and even if I adore the old part the comforts of the renewed...

Had stayed at the La Soledad a few years ago and it was a nice, very well located hotel and a wonderful, colonial and historic city. They since started renovating the hotel. We stayed in the renovated rooms, which are beautifully done. I believe it is well on its way to being a deluxe hotel. We were 3 adults and...
