Hostess very pleasant and friendly, the accommodation needs quite a lot of TLC though. Cobwebs, broken lamp shade, bathroom certainly needs a coat of paint. Breakfast was good though. Next to a main road which was busy up until 23.00 and then again from 05.00. Not good for a lite sleeper.

The landlady was lovely and very welcoming. The rest was not for me. Old decor, very old beds, cold at night, shared bathroom - not in great condition. Dated seattee etc. The breakfast had good ingredients but was cold.

Thank you for your review and compliment towards myself. Firstly, I would like to defend the beds. The mattress' were new 4 years ago, so the beds aren't OLD. I have many a report on how well guests have slept. Old Décor , well this is my home, so if you dislike my taste apologies. The settee you are probably...

A very British B&B The room (we were in the only enough suite) was plenty spacious for myself and my children with double and single bed and a small sofa. It was clean and comfortable. The owner was charming and very welcoming . Breakfast was tasty and my poached eggs were perfectly cooked. All the usual English breakfast choices plus...

Just the one night in a lovely old victorian house. Furnished in keeping with the period. Very nice friendly owner who made us feel at home. Loads of parking and very accessible. We shared a bathroom which I was not aware of when I booked, but was not a problem as there was a washbasin in the room. Very comfy...

We try to avoid 'plastic hotels' like the plague and stumbling across this wonderful guest house fulfilled all our expectations of a quirky English guest house. We were warmly greeted by Rebecca and given the choice of two bedrooms. Our oom was large and spacious with a supremely comfortable large double bed and single bed inside. Tea and coffee facilities...

Avoid at all costs. The owner attempted to evict me in at 10PM for the horrendous crime of leaving the door open to put a heavy item in my car. I stood my ground and stayed but not without being kept up all night by his dogs and parrots, seriously is he trying to run a farm in addition to a...

Me and my friend stayed here for one night for an interview I had in Exeter and while the look and feel of the place might not be to everyone's taste, it was totally my bag and I loved it. The hosts were lovely and accommodating to my needing an early breakfast (which was also delicious) and the room was...

This place leads to a good impression with a nice frontage with lawns and a fountain. Inside is completely different though, with a twee/kitsch feel and being somewhat dilapidated. I generally find taxidermy to be in bad taste at the best of times but what was on offer here was particularly vulgar. Inside the rooms there is a mishmash of...
