Very clean and tidy. Really quiet and the beds are made to ensure plenty of good sleep. They are very sound proof. Great people and staff all very friendly and welcoming. This camp ground will always be my 1st port of call when visiting the region.

We recently spent 2 nights at this camp in our motorhome. Talk about the Rolls Royce of service & facilities. The camp is in walking distance to all shops. We found that nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff. We will definitely be back.

Had an unxpected stay at riverside motorcamp. It was immaculate with wonderful people working and running the place. All utility rooms were spotless. Easy waste elimination area, also perfectly clean. Quiet.

My brother had planned a 1000km motorcycle trip around the East coast of of the North Island and our first stop was due to camp at this site. After a long day of riding we turned up at the site fairly late and in light rain. rather than to pitch the tents, we decided to opt for the cabins which...

Situated alongside the Wairoa River with a tree at every powered site, this motor camp was a welcome stopover on a rainy evening. We were impressed with the clean bathroom facilities which piped music within & the visual extras (see pic) which were a pleasure to see! One of the best camps we've stayed in:)

Our awful Freedom Campers van broke down and we ended up in this campsite waiting for a replacement vehicle. Fortunately the campsite was quite decent, peaceful and well located - just as well as it is the only one in Wairoa. The owners kindly let us stay on without charge until mid-day despite the standard 10am check-out, to await the...

We were sent to this camp site from the i site. What a surprise when we got there. Spotlessly Clean, nice little paintings hanging on the walls. Lawn art etc. Kitchen decorated nicely and had every thing we needed. Easily the best camp site we stayed at in NZ. Lots of grass, quiet friendly

This camping ground doesn't seem to be well advertised, either in the signage round Wairoa or in guides (I was using Lonely Planet's guide to the North Island). I arrived in Wairoa late on a long hot day, when everything was closed, and I was about to leave town on the assumption that Wairoa had no camping ground. Just as...

This camping ground is amazing! The owners keep it cleaner than most motels, inside and out. The proprietors offer a range of accommodation options, at excellent prices. The camp ground near the river, in town's main street, and across the road from a supermarket. Having said this it is a quiet peaceful stay. Highly recommend the cabins, which are more...

We have seen our share of camper van site in the last seven weeks and all have their plusses and minuses. This was a great campsite (even in the pouring rain) with nice clean showers and a fully equipped kitchen. The location is great and Sharon (Manager?) was helpful and very friendly. Among our favorite sites of the whole vacation.
