I went to this hostel during my last vacations; I had the chance to meet really nice people there (specially the owner of the place). Super friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone that are visiting the area or plan to travel in Costa Rica.

I was only here for 2 nights. I had a small clean room with shared bathroom. It was a nice stay. The rooms all had different names and you could feel the place was made by heart and soul. The people were friendly and helpful. A lively area with shops and public transportation. I can certainly recommend this place. :-)

I've stayed here a few times, and always boomeranged back whenever I was in San Jose. I'm not the biggest fan of the capital, but I love this hostel. Its quaint, good chill out area and one of the best things for me is how environmentally friendly it is. Staff are lovely, and make you a free pancake in the morning. It's in a great area near the San Pedro Mall and the student area.

We stayed here for 2 nights and had no complaints. Nice little Hostel with clean rooms and for a good price. Breakfast is simple (1 pancake each). Kitchen could be a bit better. Not many pots for cooking. Buses to downtown close by.

The manager has a talent for anticipating what a guest needs. An exceptional quality in the hostel scene in Costa Rica. The place is kept clean and there is care for details like power outlets and a light at each bed in the dorm and a curtain to provide at least some kind of privacy. Another asset are the two well-managed kitchens and good hot showers.. Also accurate travel information is available. Nice ambiance and quietness is observed. And no surprises in small print. The only drawback perhaps is the location in San Pedro some 4 km from downtown San José. There are frequent buses, but still...
