This was the second time my family & I visited the Westin Los Cabos. We came initially in November 2020 and the spa was closed, restaurants were closed, gym closed, kids club was closed and limited cleaning service. We were just here in March/April 2021 and although the gym & spa were open, the spa wet facilities (sauna, steam room, hot tub) were all closed. Kids Club closed. NO room cleaning offered at all. This might have been OK, but almost every other hotel in Cabo had room cleaning, open kids clubs, open spa facilities, including other Marriotts in Cabo. This is severely disappointing...that other hotels in the vicinity have open amenities, room cleaning, spas fully open, kids clubs fully open, but not this Westin. We were not happy about this.

This is my 5th or 6th visit here. I cannot keep track because it always feels like home. From the moment I book my vacation I already feel like family will be there to greet me Daniel Balleza @the concierge desk is most gracious , most helpful and always greets me with a smile. Alberto at the front desk is extremely helpful with any needs I may have with my stay. This trip was a birthday celebration and Adriana(@ the front desk) decorated my room. I felt like a kid again, you are never to old for balloons 🌹. Many many of the staff go out if their way to help, Raul, Fernando , are just a few of the names that come to mind. The resort is in a great location. There is access to ride sharing that's as easy to use and it is at home. I highly recommend the local shopping: LaComer El Fresko Restaurants that you must try: The French Riviera Floral Farms The Office Habaneros Jazmins.. The COVID testing at the hotel, extremely simple.Daniel@ the concierge desk take care of all of that for you . The rooms are extremely clean, and room service is available day or night for whatever your needs might be. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your needs. There is an ocean view from the room that is to die for. Leave the window open to hear the beautiful ocean help to drift you off to sleep. The privacy is just what I love about this place. So ... what are you waiting ? LISTA!!! LISTO !! hurry up and book your next trip.

We are Bonvoy owners and I was happy to see that some of the things that I commented on during our last trip to The Westin Los Cabos in 2018 were improved this time. More on this later. This trip (March / April) was made especially memorable by the exceptional service by the staff. The servers at the pool ( Eduardo, Ody and Cesar) were the best!! It's very hard to single out any of these guys because all of them were great. And their teamwork was exceptional! David and Mario at the towel stand were very helpful with my husband who is disabled. They made sure he always had help to the chaise lounge and laid out our towels for him. Edgar, the manager of the pool area, handled a group of rowdy guests who were disturbing the quiet of the adult pool with tact and grace. This trip, there was a lovely woman who came to the room every morning to hand out whatever you needed (fresh towels, coffee, amenities). Don't know if this was done because of Covid but it was an improvement over 2018 when you only got fresh towels, etc. every 3rd day. I really wish I knew this woman's name ( no tag, unfortunately) because even though we were unable to communicate, she made sure we were taken care of. She worked on the 9th floor of the west tower. Because of Covid there was no valet service, but the guys at the desk always helped getting my husband's disability scooter in and out of the trunk of the car. Food at the pool was good...not anything more than that. Drinks were just okay. We had dinner at El Ciruelo at Baja Point on our last night. A lovely restaurant with a great view, great food and great service. The number of channels on the TV was vastly improved since we were there in 2018 and my husband was happy that he could watch NCAA basketball tournament. We were also able to watch tennis!! We went to the owner update and these guys are about as chill as any timeshare people on the face of the earth. No pressure whatsoever. However, there were two disappointments. The room was not especially clean and if you moved ANYTHING....trash cans, stuff on the counter.....there was dust and dirt underneath. Thank God, I packed Clorox wipes. Secondly, the concrete at the pool (as well as other areas) needs to be cleaned more often. Not swept but power washed. There was a lot of dried up food and obvious drink spills all over the concrete. We saw the same problem in 2018 and wrote about it. Too bad that management doesn't seem to want to address this. But all in all, a restful vacation. Thank you Westin staff!!!!

Our second trip to the Westin in Cabo a great overall experience - great weather, great service and amazing whale views along with streamlined testing to manage current travel requirements easily managed at the resort. Our family also wanted to send special thanks to Fidel, Edgar, Victor and the rest of the great restaurant staff who took extra care to make us feel special and at home in addition to their great service - their genuine kindness humor shines through. Speaking of humor, our days at the pool with Mauricio and “DJ Nora” are still a topic of discussion at the dinner table this week because the whole family tween and teen to a couple of us that are much better at knowing Michael Jackson than Justin Beiber songs for the trivia games had a good time. Mauricio is a gem - it is great to see someone bring that kind of energy, humor and joie de vivre to the party every day! We find this resort set up with a two bedroom condo and washer/drawer and kitchen to be a great option for traveling with family, with a good grocery store within a reasonable distance to use the outside grills for some nights. Thanks
