Just returned from our visit. Check in was great, Yousha checked us in and walked us to our room, the view was somewhat blocked by vegetation so he quickly found a room on a higher floor which turned out to be perfect for us. We booked the grand club which meant for us we were closer to both the beach and most pools and restaurants, I would spending the extra money. We are beach people and the view from there was beautiful, plenty of chairs spread apart, whales everywhere, everyday, it never got old. The food was good, we were pleased with what was offered without having to upgrade. The property is very well maintained, the COVID test was scheduled and very efficient. Our two favorite things of all the great attributes were being able to hang out around the firepit every night and listen to live music and interact with people from all walks of life and getting great food brought to us right on the beach while we relaxed. We had another amazing trip to Grand Fiesta Americana in February. It was very quiet the first week as many had cancelled due to the new requirements for COVID testing before returning to the US. However the resort made testing both easy and free, while also ensuring the entire place is very safe and attentive to wearing masks, sanitizer, and social distancing. We were never at risk and enjoyed the entire place. Meals are always a treat with so many delicious options. Top picks include the Blu, where the entire team is always on their “A” game. We returned over and over to enjoy the lunch (❤️ New York Aqua Chili), and dinner (❤️ grilled octopus). The service from Abraham Rayo was above and beyond our expectations, and Christo too treated us like royalty! Another favorite for any night is always the Sushi Sky Bar with it’s amazing view and wonderful food. The special attention from Martha was over the top, along with the team of Jennifer, and Carmen. This is a MUST stop! Rosata is probably our third favorite dinner spot, with delicious salads, pastas, and an outstanding steak. Throughout our stay, the concierge staff were awesome! This included Liliana and Alejandro who arranged our cabaña days and checked in with us daily for other needs. Out on the beach or at the pool, we were so pleased with the attentive service from Rafael, Edwing, and Christian. The parmesan wings from the Peninsula served at the cabaña was a family favorite! For other meals, we always enjoy Vina Del Mar for a huge array of breakfast/brunch items. Alex would always welcome us and remember our favorite orders. We also discovered the Grand Club Lounge, a quiet room away from crowds for members. We felt like family when greeted by Abraham, Araeli, Briseida, and others. Did I mention the views, sunrises, sunsets, and the playful whales we saw every day? We’ll be back for sure and hope to see many of these amazing staff and servers again!…
This is our second vistos to this spectacular vacation spot. Just 2 1/2 firs from California has everything you need for a few fun days in the sun! Done forget to visit the cevicheria ask for David always ready to help and make your stay enjoyable, the food is spectacular, Jorge and Gilberto made our lunch so much fun! We really enjoy sour stay and this was our lunch spot every day! Make sure to pay for the grand club, Alejandro was so nice and has so much knowledge of different licores. The sushi every night was delicious! Our entire experience was amazing! We will return! Love 🇲🇽
This resort was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived till the time we left. The service and attention to detail is incredible. Thank you to Jorge at reception for taking the time to explain all that the resort had to offer. And to Edwin and Rafael for the best beach service we could’ve asked for they kept the buckets of beer coming. The beauty of this property is unparalleled and we will definitely be returning soon.
We were there Feb 14-20 2021 on an RCI swap and had been there once before. First the positives: The place is beautiful, clean, well-maintained, and the service was excellent. People were so nice. Restaurants were not fully open due to COVID but there are plenty of options. Italian restaurant Rosado was excellent and delicious. Breakfast is a very well stocked and staffed buffet right now, or room service. The steak house- for which we had to pay $60 extra (not included in our all-inclusive), was nice but really nothing to be paying extra for. I make better steak than the ones we were served. COVID precautions were thorough- masks, sanitizer, temperature checks at restaurant and at check in. They provided free COVID test to return to US. Music by the firepit was a highlight. My wife has difficulty walking hills so the rapid response available golf cart rides were great. Whales were easily visible from the room, the pool, the beach. Negatives- are few. The pools were not warm and not many people spent time in them. This is the #1 reason this did not get 5 stars. Our first room in Phase 3 up the hill had very little water pressure and the water was not hot, so shivering during showers. We got our room changed to Phase 2 but it was not as nice. There is construction going on just to the West, and you can hear pilings being driven. It didn't bother me, but it may have bothered someone on the West side of the resort. Construction is coming on the East side as well, as it is all graded and ready. I'm surprised the golf carts are gas powered given the carbon issue and the sound. I hope they replace them with electric in the future. Lastly- The Club Sales pitch. I asked for it and had genuine interest. He promised "100% respectful of your time" and about 90 minutes, it started 15 minutes late and lasted 2 hours 45 minutes. There was NOTHING said or done that could not have been done in 90 minutes. If I were allowed to go back to the room and discuss it with my wife and go over the numbers, I probably would have bought into the club (not a time share). It left a very bad taste in my mouth for the organization and I don't recommend it. All in all- beautiful, food, water and drinks great, service great, clean, safe place. We'd go back-…
