First issue, When we first checked in they took authorization into our credit card for incidentals which is normal and I asked if they needed to take anything further which they said “nope, only needed is for incidentals and pay the remainder upon check out.” They ended up taking extra authorization onto my credit card without telling me, locking out my card and unable to use on my trip. The manager had no idea how to call merchant services to release the authorizations and because they took the authorizations in smaller amounts at a time that she also didn’t know how to do a manual charge from the authorization codes to process the amounts. She was rude about the whole thing and not sincere or apologetic about their mistake either, which the front desk agent admitted was a mistake they made. The manager needs to do more training when it comes to customer service and payments. Second issue was when we went to the pool, there were chairs open but they wouldn’t let us sit there. They said they were reserved for other people. We took one chair for the four of us next to those “reserved” spots which was NEVER occupied by the people who reserved them but the attendant argued with us about it. When we ask for an umbrella he said he couldn’t find one for us to use and they were all taken but an hour later another guest asked for an umbrella and the attendant ran it over to her. Completely rude! Third issue is we were two couples, reserved two different suites and asked to be closer to one another at check in and they gave us one suite with two bedrooms, which we agreed to because it worked better for our situation. However at check out when we asked about how we paid for 2 suites but only occupied 1 room, they said sorry we can’t adjust the room rate. So we paid $1000 more than we should have and they argued with us about that as well. Also, the room was unlocked when we got there and was dirty with a couple dead cockroaches and spiders on the curtains. I wouldn’t stay here again....the service alone was a turn off in coming back to this hotel. I felt like we were arguing the whole time for things that shouldn’t have been a discussion. Their customer service needs work however, Jonathan and Felix at the pool were awesome and friendly! The cart attendants were also friendly and accommodating. Other than that the general manager should take a look at their management.

An 8 day great away for 3 couples. First off, the property is beautiful, clean and very large. Staff is excellent, friendly and seem to really like their jobs. Great COVID protocols in place. On site testing to return back to the US, included if you’re all inclusive. Property is so large that it provides ample opportunity to get your steps in. From the sky pool to the main pool on the beach. Or if walking is not your wishes, they have numerous golf carts to take you door to door with a minimum wait. Our trip slipped twice and the excellent customer service worked with our cancellations so we could keep our full 8 days. Only small complaints is the all inclusive/restaurants. With the occupancy several restaurants are closed throughout Pueblo Bonito. After 8 days, the food became a little redundant. They have several levels of food options. With all inclusive every restaurant has up-charge trap doors. So it’s not all inclusive but more like mostly inclusive. Want coconut or soy milk instead of cream for your coffee. Up-charge. Why? This difference could maybe cost the resort $.07. You also have to sign for every morsel of food. Waiters will hint to leave tips. I’m used to and prefer AI resorts where your room number or bracelet is all you need. -up-charge to go to Quirvira steakhouse; but more up-charges waiting for you all over the menu. Wine marked up 600%. Not worth it. Up-charge became the running joke for our group. Quirvira golf course was stunning. A+ condition and what a lay out!! Thanks Ana for the excellent service. To summarize, I would recommend this resort. The service and pure beauty of the property is hard to beat. Add that Nicklaus golf course and it’s the trifecta.

This place is off the chart good. Portions are HUGE -be advised! We ordered lasagna and a Caesar salad for two of us. Were only able to eat 2/3 of lasagna and it was absolutely the best we have ever had! Wife is Italian and comes from long line of great cooks- trust me when I say- this place is legit! Best part- $36 for two of us (no drinks).

This resort is in a great location to see the whales in February. The whale watching tours from the marina come to PB Sunset beaches to see the whales. You can often see the whales from your balcony. The Market has a good variety of food options and the sports bar has locally brewed baja brewery beer. Sports bar couldn’t get St Louis Blues hockey on tv most of the time we wanted to see a game. My wife and I did all inclusive at the senior rate but still didn’t use the total daily amount. We are not big drinkers. Even with the excessive prices for food and beverages it might be better for us to just pay for our food and beverages out of pocket instead of paying for all inclusive.

We had the most amazing week at Novaspania in a Viceroy. The villa was absolutely gorgeous. The service and amenities were impeccable. Our butler, Gonzolo, was available for our every need. The covid test was well orchestrated and a breeze. Fabulous trip!
