We spent one night in Elizabeth’s guest house during our hiking from Mestia to Ushguli. The room was cold and without heater, food was nice, but in the comparing with other guest houses it was small amount and really really overpriced. We did not feel welcome, just like people who are bringing money to their pockets. Avoid this place, not worth it.

Elizabeta’s guesthouse is clean and comfortable with very good food, hot water, a nice porch and a very warm and a friendly family, who tries hard to create a pleasant experience for guests. One doesn’t head to a small mountain village expecting a 4 star hotel, and that’s the point. This is a great place to experience how people really live in the small mountain villages of Georgia.

We arrived there and were happy to stay as the place is pretty cool. There is a small garden which is nice. Food is nice (even if you don't get a lot). But we had a room which was very basic (just separated from the rest of the balcony by a wooden wall). The big problem is they charge a lot for it, and even more for food : the lunch box was one slice of bread, one tomato and one egg (that she took from the breakfast). So even 10 GEL would have been too much for that. Too bad. I think it used to be a good place but they now just consider you as their milk cow.

The room we had was bigger than we needed, but it was dark. The fact that the Power supplier did maintenance on the Power lines didn't do Things easier. We ran out of hot water. However, the guest house appeared clean. Food was fair, albeit not the best I have seen. I would have preferred if the owners had lit the rooms With other Sources than electricity. Instead, we sat in darkness in the dining hall. Another option would be to serve Food outside. At the moment, that is not possible. One thing we didn't like, was that they let the cat eat from the buffet when the guests had finished. Since electricity were gone for the most of the day, we did not have Access to wifi before late evening. However, they reserved a room in Iprali for us, so we did fine without.

The only place in Georgia where we had a bad experience - totally overpriced, with unclean rooms and a moody host. Food cooked by the grandmother was nice, and the only redeeming feature. Charged almost 200GEL for room, dinner and breakfast - when average on the hiking route is much lower. They are taking advantage of hikers. Following my review on booking.com I received an abusive response. Find somewhere else in Adishi!
