Posada Carmina is very conveniently located just across the street from the cathedral, right in the middle of San Miguel Allende. If you like to walk it is a great place to stay and not use the car. It is cozy and clean, but definitely not trendy. I love the old house and the patio. No pool. I would not...

Th Posada Carmina Hotel is located across the street from the main cathedral and a block from El Jardin, the main square. It is within easy walking distance to all the important sites, restaurants, and shops so you can come back to the hotel mid-day for a rest or to freshen up if you like. The colonial hotel is surrounds...

We had a wonderful time at this hotel.... Is very cosy and romantic ...the food excellent just wanted to have my breakfast there everyday and lunch too! We stayed in different rooms since they were very busy and found each room very well decorated and not noisy. Very clean and staff very professional! We will go back again and again..

At first glance it's a charming hotel with a nice courtyard where on nice days people can sit out for drinks and meals. The location is good as it is in the heart of old San Miguel de Allende. Unfortunately, it isn't all good. We were given Room 116 which was one of the few that had a king size...

the quick story - super loud, food unedible, dirty rooms, no fresh towels, horrible service (but the staff was very happy and nice). Posada Carmina is a hostel, not a hotel. the details - my girlfriend and I traveled to San Miguel de Allende for New Years Eve 13/14. she is from Guadalajara and we were down there for the...

This hotel is right next to the main square where everything happens and is located. You can walk anywhere from here and everything you may need is less then a minute walk away! Rooms are spacious and well litten, however its so close to the church that everytime the bells would ring (which is very regular!) I would wake up...and...

I can't comment on the hotel, but I can highly recommend the restaurant for a relaxing and delicious breakfast in San Miguel. I was recently in SMA for a week, and happened on this restaurant one morning. It was so good we returned the following morning. I can recommend the eggs with smoked salmon and the eggs benedict. The service...

We did NOT stay at the hotel, but found the restaurant a real "find". Good food with an attentive bilingual wait staff, and reasonable pricing. I highly recomend this as a diner stop during your stay in SMA.

Best: Location / Worst:Noise. Down town San Miguel is a very lively place. You can found many interesting things all walking distance IF you choose the right location. That's why we chose Posada Carmina, it is located 1/2 a block from the Cathedral and the main down town plazza. Being able to walk to wherever we wanted was a big...

For the second time, my friend Toby and I stayed at the Hotel Posada Carmina for 5 days in January 2012. As always it was a great value. I left a purse in the car that drove us to the airport. I called the agency, but they didn't want to take responsibility for sending it to me and suggested that...
