Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a delightful B&B, Chris was very hospitable and eager to ensure we knew what to see in the area. Our two night stay in the front bedroom was very comfortable and quiet with a wonderful breakfast made to order from the widely selected menu!

We had a very relaxed and enjoyable one night stay here. This very comfortable19th century house with a spacious welll kept garden and gravelled parking area, The house and garen have lots of charm and we hope to stay there again. Breakfast is at a shared table and our fellow guests were good company.

I would have to recommend the Ardmore House to anyone looking for a place to stay in Offaly, be they a family or individual. The house is full of charm, and set on one of Irelands' more picturesque villages - the owner went out of her way to make us feel at home and provide every comfort needed. The food was superb too!

We only stayed here one night but we wished we could have stayed longer. The house was beautifully decorated, the hostess was friendly and interesting to chat with, the room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. When we arrived the hostess offered a pot of tea and a delicious sweet treat to go with it. In short, it was a perfect bed and breakfast experience.

We enjoyed walking around the Upper Lake while visiting Muck Ross House. We did not go into the house as we arrived too close to closing time. But we did enjoy ambling around the lake and taking in the views. Great spot for families or anyone else. Very easy walk.

We definitely saved the best for last. This was our last stay in Ireland and it was the most accommodating and pleasant stay. The breakfast menu had plenty to choose from and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. Thanks Chris!

Just back from a stay in Ardmore Country House after a wedding in Kinnity. It was just blissful, from the warm welcome & cosy rooms, to the home cooked breads, scones and breakfast it was just faultless. We loved every second and would love to return. Thank you Christina for such a warm welcome into your beautiful home.
