Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights. Chris was very welcoming and runs a beautiful B&B. The room was really lovely and breakfast was delicious. Kinnitty is a lovely quiet town and loads to see with beautiful walks. We went to the Shannon, Birr and The rock of Cashel within the two days so it’s a great base for the surrounding areas too. Highly recommended :)

Fabulous spot in the heart of Kinnitty. Loved our bright spacious and comfortable bedroom. Chris is a first class host with lots of tips and info on walks and sights in the Slieve Blooms. A highlight was tea and scones served on the lawn on arrival and a warm welcome from Chris. Home-cooked breakfast was delicious especially the homemade brown bread - all much better than mass-produced hotel fare. Probably the best B&B we've stayed in so we will definitely be back, hopefully for longer next time..

From the start Chris was very welcoming and helpful. She made us tea and rang a local restaurant for us as it was near closing time. There was a sitting room where we could relax to watch TV. Throughout she gave us plenty of tips about what to see and do and made sure we had everything we needed. A very pleasant welcoming stay in a gorgeous house and surroundings. This is a perfect location to go hiking, biking and drives around the mountains. Birr is just a short 15 min drive away. I'd highly recommend the Riverside restaurant for dinner.

We stayed here for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Chris was a fantastic host, offering us tea and homemade scones on arrival. She went above and beyond for us on our trip. The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was huge and very tasty! Chris has a wealth of knowledge about walks etc to do in the area. I'd highly recommend staying here and using it as a base to explore Kinnity and the many hikes and bike routes around here in the Slieve Bloom Mountains.

We stayed with Chris at this beautiful guest house . From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess who was more than welcoming. Chris is no stranger to the adventures that surround Kinnity and filled us in on what was available . From horse riding to walking trails through the Sleeve Bloom mountains there is also a Bike trail with different levels to suit all ages and fitness levels. We were able to hire bikes right from the house . All of this and much more is so well organised that we were all at ease from the get go . The lady of the house is a fantastic cook and I highly recommended her Homemade Brown bread ! Such a beautiful home with stunning gardens We will be back ! Thank you

Arrived here completely wet, but it was nice and well-organised. Nice breakfast, also very pleasant and decent lady. The building itself is quite well-maintained, with a beautiful virginia creeper all over it.

We were so pleased that we selected Ardmore Country House for our three-night stay. Chris was super helpful during our stay and we found her very friendly, easy-going and a great cook! Our room was lovely, nice and spacious and with a very comfy bed. The central location was brilliant - perfect for our day trips. Chris's local knowledge was great and we enjoyed the destinations she recommended. We were also lucky enough to enjoy a Wednesday evening at the pub across the road, where Chris played fiddle alongside other local musicians during a wonderful informal evening of music and singing. This was one of the highlights of our trip, along with the amazing Ardmore Country House Soda Bread made by Chris. We would gladly stay here again.

We stayed but one night and wished we had had longer. Christina is the ultimate as a warm and welcoming hostess. From welcoming us upon our arrival with tea and treats and providing a wide and delicious breakfast - cooked to order. Our room was tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and a choice of pillows so that our nights sleep could not have been better. A hot and strong shower was an added plus to make our stay comfortable. Christina is happy to offer suggestions of activities and sights around the area as well - including out of ordinary places to see and explore. We give 5 stars to this lovely accommodation and would gladly return.

This was our fourth and final B & B and by far the best! Chris is the definition of a hostess. She welcomes you into her home and offers you tea or coffee. She shows you your room and tells you she will light a fire downstairs so you can drink your wine by it. The bedroom was a giant hug! The fluffy bed smelled slightly of lavender Her breakfast is fresh off the farm or at least it tastes like it is. I could fan girl all day about this place. Thank you, Chris!
