Upon arrival after a long 41/2 hour drive from Donegal, our host immediately greeted us with a friendly smile. We were served hot tea and biscuits in the relaxing atmosphere of the lovely drawing room. The bedroom was quite comfortable and cozy with the en suite bathroom that provided a hot shower. This B&B was perfectly clean. Breakfast menu contained...

The Ardmore Country Home is a quaint and beautiful B&B in Kinnitty, Ireland. On top of that, this was our very first stay in Ireland and it was our very first B&B that we have ever stayed in and what a treat it was! The owner, Christina is wonderfully gracious. She helped with suggestions on navigating the country side and...

Our trip to Ireland has to have some average properties....this was the low point as compared to all others. Our host was less than welcoming, was taking care of painting and stated that forcefully when we entered the home. Was rather aloof, pointed to our room and went back to her painting. The bed was lumpy and there was road...

I spent five very relaxing days at Ardmore House, the stunning views of the Slieve Bloom Mountains were right outside my window. The rooms were large and comfortable while every breakfast was hearty and very tasty with a nice pot of tea everyday. Chris was very helpful and friendly and really does keep the grounds well manicured and very attractive....

Ardmore Country House is located fairly close to the charming town of Birr. Christina is a gracious hostess who welcomed my wife and I with tea in front of a cozy fire in the living room. The rooms are spacious and breakfast is delicious. A couple of pubs are nearby and a refurbished castle a few kilometers down the road...

I had a lovely restful stay at this cozy country house in Kinnitty. Christina is a great host and makes the guests feel at home and very comfortable. The Irish breakfasts are delicious and there was a warm fire burning in the living room every evening. The house is in close proximity to the Kinnitty forest, the Slieve Bloom mountains...

We spent four nights at the Ardmore House in Kinnitty, Offaly and wished it had been longer. The hospitality was exceptional. Yummy breakfast, lovely and quiet room, and lots of suggestions for hiking and sightseeing. Looking at Maggie L's review above, I would concur with everything she has written about our accommodations and how helpful Chris was. We also listened...

We had booked four nights, so we could relax, walk and enjoy being in the area. Our room was the large corner downstairs room and it was so large and bright, with a great ensuite. Breakfast in the mornings was delicious with great choices, but not enough mornings to try them all. Chris provided a packed lunch to make our...

This is a very old an unusual country house, well worth a stay just for the experience. Breakfast is a delight with a variety of tasty home-baked goods. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Great big comfy beds. Shutters on the windows and lots of period furniture and features. Feels like stepping into a Jane Austen novel. Landlady is attentive...
