Daniel and the staff were always very helpful. Some of the accommodation is a little rustic by US standards for my wife, but my son and I will be back. We all loved the unspoiled beaches and friendly people. The ocean view balcony was the best. Just a few feet from the ocean the sound of the surf took a...

We stayed in one of the en-suite rooms (without sea view) the first night. It was very basic and we saw a couple of huge cockroaches scurrying in and out of the wooden cabinet. We then moved to one of the more expensive sea view en-suite rooms for the second night. It had a balcony looking right over the beach...

We got to the Posada and there seemed to be a problem with our reservation. The receptionist went to check with the owner who approached yelling at us, insulting us and saying he had cancelled our reservation. We were petrified. He turned away and we had no place to stay nor our deposit. We asked the receptionist for the owner...

The structure is solid, the rooms are spacious, with shared balconies between 4 rooms. Good beds, a fan that worked somewhat, Hammocks and chairs outside. But the best ting is - amazing sea views! The waves crash 20 yards from your bed, and the sound is awesome. For 300 pesos for a double room, this is a great deal. Downsides:...

I almost don't want to write a review because I'd like to keep Brisa Marina all to myself. I loved this place so much I stayed there twice and spent around two weeks there all up. This place is heaven, but with a better view. We took the front facing rooms - all of which have a private bathroom and...

Early this year I went to Zipolite with a friend. We made reservations at Brisa Marina. The owner seemed friendly at first, if eccentric. Things took a very negative turn, two days later. My friend and I were playing frisbee on the beach one evening, in front of the premises. Without warning, the owner came barreling out from the office,...

I got to Brisa Marina by chance. As a backpacker, I was wandering through Zipolite looking for a place to stay. When I showed up here, right away I was welcomed by Daniel, the owner who showed me around and thanks to being there in the lowest season, he gave me a great price for the room with a balcony...

Back in Zipolite. Came here a couple years ago, planning on staying a couple days and ended up staying for two weeks. Beachfront rooms are basic, clean, and comfy. And you'd pay $1000 a night to stay in a Hawaiian hotel on the beach and the view is better here. Welcomed back by Daniel, the owner and Tino and Margareta,...

We travel with the most current edition of the "Rough Guide" and a old Acer Notebook for further research and make our destination decisions on the fly. This trip was to combine exploration of historical Mexico with some down time. Zipolite is recommended as the best place to do nothing so for the down time a 6 hour bus ride...

We are experienced travelers who who are not looking for luxury. We do appreciate a bit of privacy and beauty in the places we stay. This place has neither. It is a basically charmless, sterile place is located in the middle of the busy stretch of the magnificent Zipolete beach. We had a basic room with a great view from...
