After being recommended by a friend of ours, we booked a room for three people. Turns out, in the changeover of management from father to son, the guest experience got impacted. :-( The room was basic, with a fan and tin roof and mosquito net. We were alright with these. But the shower had a trickle of water, so one...

A fairly simple but very clean hotel with good home cooked food. Manju acted as our driver and guide for 3 days and he was very helpful, having picked us up from the airport. An enjoyable stay in tranquil surroundings.

We stopped here after our hike up Sigiriya Rock for lunch. Our driver pulled in to what looked like a quiet, little oasis in nature. There was no one around, but the owner came out smiling and welcoming us to stay. We didn't look at the menu but just asked for a big veggie curry. Honestly, one of THE best...

We stayed last year, November 2011, and found it a great place to relax after being in Colombo and found it to be one of the nicer places we stayed while touring round Sri Lanka. Manju was an excellent host and we slept like rocks - in the early morning, Peacocks could be heard all around us only added to...

In December it gets dark early on the island. Additionally to it that day it was raining decently. After Dambulla we've arrived so lately and not seen sense to look for a more suitable place for the night. This guest house is situated quite alone, far away from the cluster of shops and cafes, surrounded by lush vegetation. And its...

Location wise this inn is great. It is 1km from Inamaluwa junction where I got off the bus, so close to Sigiriya rock and Dambulla caves. A tuk tuk from Inamaluwa junction to the inn costs 50rps. I took a bus back from Sigiriya rock which passed the inn directly (but this bus was not frequent) and was able to...

One of the nicer places we stayed while touring the interior of Sri Lanka. Good location for sightseeing in and around Sigirya and Dambulla. Breakfast was included in the price of our room which was nice. Clean rooms, mosquito netting, air conditioning and Wifi what more could you ask for : )

Rooms were austere but fine and the location was good for travelling around, but the owner was expecting us to have our meals at his restaurant every day, which was not the cheapest. We decided to buy our own food and he became very angry and greedy, even rude. Last day he wanted to charge us for using a lousy...

We stayed in one of the newly built rooms on the far right hand side of the resort, which were not yet equipped with too much furniture, but a cosy bed and a very clean bathroom. The very friendly junior owner Manjula spent the evening with us, providing interesting information on the area around Dambulla and Sigiriya. Food was above...
